As per NJ.com Robbie Martin commits to PSU. We could have used an OL of that caliber.

RU will get Carter Warren and Martin will be forgotten, Martin's dream school is PSU, it was just a matter of time with him...Warren has more immediate playing time potential from what I have read.

Im tempted to be one of those creepy fans that posts on high school recruits Twitter page to come to RU because the message boards made a prediction

Made "a" prediction! How about made a "google" of predictions. After all, everyone on this board knows everything - you and I included. I mean, when was the last time either of us was wrong?

For the first time in quite awhile (possibly ever) I will not ROOT against a kid who snubbed us. Martin's response about Rutgers was CLASSY....as opposed to many others who've
bashed us, trashed us, left us as dead meat / or just don't give a $#YT. I don't get the sense that Martin chose brand X over Rutgers to snub us or hurt us (even if that's the way our base may interpret it).

Rutgers was the next one up,” Martin said. “I love those guys down there. Rutgers was equal across the board, but Penn State has a better atmosphere and I love the pride for the school.”
There are a lot of top recruits that want to go to Rutgers, and I still think that no matter what happens, they’re going to turn that program around,” he added. “I don’t feel like I caused them any harm.”

Hard to hate Martin now, just because I dislike the Nit FB program.
Heck I even like some of the Nits that post here [thumb2], but most I still consider scum

Good luck. You and your team will need it.

In a few years we're going to be showing no mercy on the weak.

When Franklin bolts and or is canned, Ash will go for the juggler and bury that sh*t bag program out there. PSU has seen its best days. Any stud who goes there now is signing up for an *** kicking.

They will swarm here whenever Rutgers beats psu. Psu is @ 2-0 so now the NJ recruiting grounds are wide open to happy valley and traffic is light. When Rutgers beats psu thier internet tribe will be back here in full force.

So you don't think PSU is capable of a splash hire after Franklin? That's all it takes to keep a program relevant and to think they won't would be naive

And before we or anyone decide to give Ash credit....if and when it happens....talented NJ kids will EVENTUALLY come here...you and I could be coaching and that won't change

Doesn't mean he wouldn't deserve credit but no o e can underestimate what being in the Big10 means to these kids

I am sure the entire Penn State community is taking a dump in their pants as we speak out of fear of big, bad Rutgers.

The best thing for us is if Franklin can hang for a few more years and continue to drive the program into the ground a bit more. Their next hire is likely to be a proven winner, they have got the money to pay whatever it takes. This is an athletic department awash in $s to the point that they are considering replacing a stadium that holds 107k. Do you have any clue the amount of love and support there is for that university within the Commonwealth? If you think that they are going away in our lifetimes, you are setting yourself up for some major disappointment.

"Scott Radecic has been spending extra time in State College and at Beaver Stadium with his high-profile engineering job . . . [h]is company will provide details and cost estimates on everything from much-needed overhauls of the indoor tennis and swimming venues to an upgrade for the facilities for the two soccer teams, including the women’s team that won the 2015 national title. (The soccer locker rooms are a half-mile away from Jeffrey Field).

Of course, the No. 1 attraction on the design list is Beaver Stadium, which, at least to some, desperately requires a facelift on a significantly larger scale than the one completed in 2001, also overseen by Populous. Renovation seems the most likely scenario, though Populous and Penn State officials have not ruled out building a new stadium, either."

Funny, so many posters here were telling us the last few years that this was impossible, at this time, due to a myriad of reasons (see: excuses) OTHER THAN that the actual one lol!!

Where would Franklin bolt to? He isn't an NFL caliber type of coach and he isn't getting any of the high profile SEC jobs...IF he is canned PSU will just sign another big name, now that they are fully out of the sanction period they can throw $6-8M a year at a coach who is a great game day coach as well as recruiter,
Though it would be hard pressed to find someone who can recruit the area better than Franklin has.

Franklin is a clown salesman, decent recruiter but cannot coach. Just watch him run a FB program on the sidelines. Psu is not going anywhere with this guy. Agree, I hope psu keeps him around for awhile.

Well there you have it, one thing RU fans and PSU fans can agree on, both for the most part hope he sticks around for quite a while...the realistic PSU fans can see that he is building quality depth with high level recruits throughout the roster and looking for the right assistants to run a high powered offense. It's a model Ash will be using as he is taking over a similar roster that needs to be rebuilt

So where did that get Brady Hoke?

The Temple coach is the next Pedd St. head coach.

Agreed, they will go after him not just because he is apparently a very good coach but they would be getting him out of what has become an in state rival at the same time. They help themselves and hurt Temple.

A priest, a clown and gorilla walk into a bar. The bartender looks at them and says: "What is this, a joke?"
Santa Claus, Superman and the Holday Armadillo walk into an apartment, Phoebe says, "is this the Easter Bunny's funeral?"

Stopped by to see if there was any info on how your spring practices are progressing with the new regime. You guys have scored a couple of good commitments. Great to see the football related smack talk!

I do have a question. I've seen some tweets from RU staff with a hashtag #10strong. What does this mean?

#10Strong means we want 10 strong position groups. No weaknesses
