Dana needs to use him more, especially this week. Crawford is our #1 back but goes down to easily. McKoy is great as well but not used until the 4th quarter. Pettaway IMO is a mix of both Crawford and McKoy.
Our Oline can't block out light. Neither of our running backs have the "it" factor. Pettaway goes down pretty easily too.Won't make a difference if Spav only runs those draw plays which work only fool the defense about 20% of the time. Now will Grier out the defense will key on it even more.
Pettaway is a downhill runner that should be running behind Wellman. Jake doesn't appear to believe in anything other than screens, draws, and the long bomb downfield however. That's why our offense has been so inconsistent, it's maddening to watch.
With so few carries........how can anyone assess what kind of formation Pettaway runs best out of? Warez
ISU wasn't very good last year and our Oline was much, much better. By the way, to run from the I, you have to have a very good Oline that can sustain blocks.Iowa State last year.......he had a very good game.
