He was the early favorite. Their search has been quite for a while. Woukd have been an easy decision to promote a week ago. Maybe he still gets it.

Jay Young is the Stony Brook defensive coordinator and frontcourt developer. It would be really strange if he did not get the bump to HC at Stony Brook, however, they may be a little upset that he actively sought the CCSU job. Who knows, maybe they told him he was not getting the top spot.

Also......is CCSU a better job than Stony Brook ?

They did not give him the job yet. Could have promoted him the day Pikiell left. This is on SB, not Young. Stony Brook is s much better job.

Really strange, especially with SB being better job. Unless he has ties to Connecticut and wanted to return to the state.
