Dude, you kind get nasty to a lot of posters. Do you talk this way to you best friend?
Nasty? Don’t be silly. I ask some basic questions on occasion. Red will forever be reminded of his pizza guy link, because it is funny as hell.

Can you refute anything that he said? After all, he's just a pizza guy.
So you do need others to think for you. Why must you act like you don’t? It wouldn’t matter, if you didn’t pretend otherwise. Why do you have to pretend? Being phony is really really awful.

You got me kid.
What's funny is that I have more "fruits of the spirit" than you do.

40,000+ denominations beg to differ.

Jesus acted very differently in the varying gospels.

The age of religion is coming to an end and some will go kicking and screaming.
You use the same unchanged language to demonstrate your ignorance... In a previous post, I said to knock the sand from sandals and move on when you meet people who are unwilling to listen... Adios.
This has to be what it is like to talk to AI with weak programming...

I am willing to listen. You guys just can't convince people anymore when so much information and history is available. Like looking behind the curtain in the Wizard of Oz. The jig is up. It had a nice run. Jesus said he would be back soon and that was 2000 years ago.

Being a real Christian is a miserable experience and most put on a shiny happy faƧade because god is supposed to satisfy but doesn't.

Yeah, several thousand years of recorded history and countless religions rising and falling should be enough to instill more doubt and pragmatism in humanity, but I would suggest doing your very best not trample on what brings meaning to others lives. Especially when it comes to religious beliefs, regardless of religion. It’s not my jam, but I just leave it at that. Happy Saturnalia everyone!

To be Christian is to suffer. This affects how they view society.

How does it affect them? How does it affect society as a whole? I want to get this straight, are you trying to save society from Jesus (as the son of God)?

When one lives as a true Christian, it is a miserable experience. It messes up ones mind, marriages, traumatizes children, causes ones to judge outsiders as evil. Even fellow believers are to be vetted. Satan is everywhere after all.

Without the presumed problem of sin, Christianity has no theological purpose. It is strange to think that Christianity will someday be vanquished to the history books. It has been the worldview of the Western world for thousands of years.

I’m assuming you are basing this on your personal experience. If not, can you provide the studies? What was the branch of Christianity that you practiced? Aren’t there one or more that essentially say ā€œonce saved always saved?ā€ If that’s the case, ā€œevilā€ and ā€œsinā€ and ā€œjudgmentā€ shouldn’t matter, because so long as you believe, you’re in. In other words, say you believe, and sin away and do bad stuff all you want, cuz you are already going to heaven. Can a true Christian ever be joyful and, if not, why not? What about other non-Christian religions, can they have experiences that aren’t miserable?

I was non-denominational Arminian.

Once Saved Always Saved is more of reformed theology but doesn't come without its mental baggage. How do you know you are saved? If someone leaves, they say they were never truly a Christian, even though they dedicated their lives and believed 100% for decades. If they can fall away and be said to have never been a Christian, what confidence do you have that your current belief affirms that you are saved? What if your belief isn't true belief but pascal's wager? The continue to believe in an attempt to prove that you are saved. The 7th day adventists have a similar issue with their Jesus inspecting/cleansing the temple theology.

Christians are told that only god can truly satisfy and make them happy, which really isn't the case. Just look around and you will find that serious Christians long to sin and do sin just as much as the general population, with the bonus of being riddled with shame and guilt. If they are so happy in god, why do they look elsewhere for happiness? So yes, Christians can scripturally be happy but it is only to be in the context of their god.

Most Christians are in name only but live like Atheists. These Christians are the happiest ones because they don't take the Bible seriously.

I mean...pushing the sacrament of marriage is basically pushing miserableness :). I kid, I kid.

speaking of sacred; what always got me is that the unborn baby is said to be sacred, pure, innocent, gift from god but the moment it comes out, the baby is sinful, reprobate, enemy of god, destined for hell and needs a savior.

Leveraging a religious belief or the Bible to make decisions about politics, policy or society is indeed frustrating to me personally, but the hardcore left is no less frustrating. Folks vote and ā€˜think’ along the lines of hate and tribalism more so than genuine belief and action.

I agree. I see child indoctrination from the left and right equally damaging.

You are literally making things up. What a strange view you have. I feel sorry for you honestly. Just stopaking things up in your head as you go.

Satan seems more powerful than Jesus. Or maybe he outworks Jesus.
I wish Jesus would put some effort in.
Satan has already lost. He lost a long long time ago. Christ, Jesus has risen beyond death. He is our Lord and Savior. He makes us all holy.

John 3:20 for everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.
