Meh he would have been the fourth big behind Carey, Hurt, Javin and likely Stanley when they go small ball. He picked the wrong school and didn’t develop like he should of especially with the clear direction of how bigs were developing into

Wow. Didn’t see that coming, but hadn’t been following it closely, either. Pretty big loss for them

This happens at other schools?? Wow didn’t know that. Was told we are the only school who loses players who shouldn’t leave.

I figured he would've at least graduated by now. Seems like that kid's been at Duke since 2011.

They have Carey and Hurt and that DeLaurier kid pulled his name out of the draft. Then they have the Admiral's son back for 5 fouls.

Javin looked decent towards the end of last season.. But Carey and Hurt are still freshman, playing in a system that doesn't offer much in the way of creating for a big to score.. On top of that Hurt has fallen a bit in the rankings, doesn't seem like a "post player" and could very easily be more of a detriment in his first season.

I agree. As soon as Carey committed, they weren't going to have much room for Bolden and DeLaurier. Now they can go with 4 out, 1 in, or with Hurt as the 4 man if needed. Still, that's four freshmen that will start with White, DeLaurier, and O'Connell coming off the bench.

And it's a freshman group that is nowhere near as talented as last year's. Carey is about the only true impact player next season.. Unless Hurt or Stanley surprise us.. But that's doubtful.

Just don't see Duke as a factor next year. Not nearly as worried about them when they had giles/Tatum, bahkey/Duval or zion/RJ.

Mama said Marcus was ready for the pros, but all of the presents she expected to get are on hold.

Hurt will not play in the post. He is a classic stretch 4. Think Kyle Singler.

They will play 4 out, 1 in on offense. The offense will go through Carey, with the rest of the team spotting up or slashing to the rim.

They will probably play 7-8 guys (K doesn't like to play more than that).

Starters

PG Jones
SG Stanley
SF Moore
PF Hurt
C Carey

Key Reserves

G O'Connell
F White
C DeLaurier

Once again, very young. Just like the last two years, start four Freshman and a veteran. This is the least talented of the three, though.

I am expecting another Sweet Sixteen to Elite Eight run for them.

This will be one of Rat Faces teams to get upset in the first or second round of the NCAA

Coach K rarely plays more than 6 guys significant minutes especially around tournament.
