It almost gives me hope that the pregame "highlight" reel wont suck.

/Although its catchy, it doesnt need to end with "The only color that matters here is maroon."

[DrDawg09]

the video was made by a student in the SA, so that gives no hope for the highlight reel, unless they finally realize a student on his own computer can do better and step it up

Will everyone wear Maroon, no. Will most people, yeah. Will wearing a dark color in 85 degree heat intimidate a football team, no. The "Maroon out" is not nearly as strange looking as a night game "White out" so to me it's sort of a waste of time, but hey, if someone wants to put their time and effort in to it the least I can do is wear a maroon damn shirt.

[codeDawg]

I can't wait to see it on the field again.

[BCash]

electricity in the stadium, the dog pound rock, everything was great. We actually seemed on our way to starting a tradition in Mississippi State football. Hopefuly, we can get that back.

[DerHntr]

Thank you. I wish more fans would think that way.

[rem101]

i wonder which frat boys will get blamed if it doesn't work?

[Dinkle]

joking.

[bomanishus]

... I mean, why else even mention it? The quote from Herbstreit sums it up and our people definitely identify with it. Good grief, if you want to establish something in the stadium, that's it.

[GhostOfJackie]

I have worn one at every MSU athletic event for years now. Its not that hard to put on a maroon shirt. I pisses me off when I show up to the tailgate and some people have on blue or green shirts.

[vhdawg]

I've been saving it for a special occasion....is this it?

[JohnDawg]

Where in the hell have you been the last 5 months? Yes they're bringing the DPR back. Kenzaki Jones was at the spring game and did it with the team DURING the game. Good grief man.

[TilloDawg]

.....

[thatlonghairedguy]

I can always use one.

[bulldogbaja]

has been on defense.

[LumpDawg1055]

they are actually advertised and have marketing, in the past it was just in the Reflector a few days ahead of the game so no body got the word but seems like everyone does this time, hell its even printed on the tickets

[LumpDawg1055]

but I wouldnt be opposed to the free shirts like they did in Crooms first game but glad to see the true maroon shirts are going to a good cause.

[Agentdog]

Another MSU tradition.......

home game: warm weather, wear Reed's tshirt or a collared shirt with the latest en vogue logo to declare your social status. Cold weather, youngsters wear the letterman's jacket to represent your small MS town and the older wear the North Face and etc. to declare social status.

road game: wear neutral colors. Wearing anything that identifies with MSU will make it tough walking to the car after the game.

[Fdawg.sixpack]

they plan on passing out white poms poms for the lsu game?...adds a lot to the effect if you ask me

not that our white out would ever compare to theirs but the pom poms would help

[TheBigBadDawg]

And I've never noticed Mississippi's #81 get lit up at the end of the interception return. It's at the 1:50 mark of the True Maroon video in the bottom right corner. Can't tell who did it, but it was a hell of a hit.

[dawgstudent]

I wish someone would make a gif of those few seconds of that hit.
