Last year went the way the "chicken littles" feared it would, though. I'll give you injuries, though to what extent they actually hurt us will never be known -- we've had some back and forth on this before.
If last year had been a SS / EE, many more people would be willing to "let it ride". The concern does have roots in reality.

He went to the S16 year one, and if he signs Momcilovic, which is likely, then he will enter next season with a top 12-15 in the country this season. He had a bad year two, but to be fair, he did have several major injuries. He is not the coach I wanted, but I believe you are being a little melodramatic. If you can't handle one bad season, then Dan Hurley wouldn't do us any good either
You are just a negative whiner who always seeks out the worst to dwell on. We had one good season with a roster that had to be cobbled together at the last minute. If not for injuries a Final Four was not out of the question. The second season while disappointing is being blown totally out of proportion considering injuries and the second most difficult schedule in school history. Constantly crapping on those trying to right the ship helps nothing and we would be better off without it.
Or maybe he can be a fan of his team and say how he feels about the team which is actually the truth. You might want to find a new team if you don't like fans wanting Kentucky to be better than mediocre. Standards Paul.

Let's give Pope the chance to prove people wrong. He's getting a year 3 and if he gets mom he has 0 excuses to not win anything that matters once again. Let's see if he can win the sec or sec tourney or make a final four or win it all.
Is this your minimum requirement to keep his job? I have feeling you will be extremely disappointed if he falls short of your stated demands but gets anywhere near close to acheiving these things.
Honestly there is no reason that UK shouldn’t have an ultra talented roster, much like Duke or UConn. We have the fan support, we have national attention with every game on ESPN, we have the facilities. UK is a blue blood basketball school with the booster support to raise enough money in NIL. There’s only one reason we don’t have a roster like that and that we are having to break spending recorded to field a top 25 team. It’s Mark Pope and this isn’t sustainable.

If he winds up with Mom, that’s a great recruiting off-season IMO regardless of who we missed on. I’ve always believed Mom>Stokes for Pope.
