He’s the best by far.
How is this provable or quantifiable? Just from my perspective, as I watch all these games through every single weekend he's probably the bottom QB of each weekend game that I've ever watched. Now listen, I'm trying to be impartial here but he is not a good quarterback If a team has to rely on passing at all.

We haven’t been able to pass or run at the quarterback position in five years. Now we have a quarterback that can at least run. 🤷‍♂️

I appreciate everything he's done for the program, he's been a great leader. But once this season is over, it's time to move on to a QB who can pass accurately.
I agree. But whoever he is has to be able to run and be mobile. We’ve had statues like Spencer Petras, Cade, and Deacon Hill, and they also couldn’t throw. 🤦‍♂️

This!

literally the worst passer. His stats show it.

Iowa was bailed out by 21 today. Over and over he made plays and scored a TD

a competent QB and Iowa wins this game by 30+ points

MG doesn’t give up. And he will complete 2-4 very nice passes a game….and with Kirkball against bad teams, it ends up being enough

against the better teams????? Yeah no

We haven’t had an even below average big ten quarterback in five years.

We deserved better than Mark.
He’s been somewhat disappointing throwing the ball. But none of our quarterbacks could throw the ball with any accuracy the last half decade. And Mark is tough and can run. He’s not overweight or skipping out on senior day because his feelings are hurt. He’s a step in the right direction.

Well, that’s certainly a ‘glass half full’ outlook.

That’s not an easy mindset considering how A$$ we still are on offense. Good on you.

I don't think we truly knew the impact his shoulder injury would have on his ability to throw the ball accurately. He wasn't like this at sdsu.

I'm gonna argue. He is a winner but he needs to throw more. He is a poor decision maker. We learned many times that a shot to van derzee is an option. He never goes that route. Gill was open many times. He never even looked. He doesn't fit with the team, but yeah, he tries hard.

For what reason? To get to 8 wins??

It’s time to look forward to who will be our QB in ‘26.

I don’t care what people say, the guy is a flat out winner. He’s carried this team on his back and won us so many games. This is literally a four win team with any quarterback since 2020 manning the offense. Thanks for the memories Mark. You deserved better too!
Team MVP. 4-6 without him. Gronk is a legend and needs to be appreciated.

MG is one of thee WORST QBs I’ve seen. He’s honestly a linebacker or fullback pretending to be a QB.

You must have been in a coma the last few years of Iowa Football; glad to see you pull through!

Funny how we had to rely on the pass on several final drives that ended in touchdowns this season..........including this past Saturday coincidentally enough.

Time to stop trying to make a point.

Wrong. We could have a high school junior starting at QB and still win more than 4 games.

That’s how valuable our defense has been to Iowa and Kirk. Just imagine if we could actually put together a decent group of offensive starters……….
