I'll just say this, for a guy who spent four years at another school, he did a fabulous job coming here (while injured and not being able to compete for months) and assimilating into the team AND grasping a leadership role. Its obvious he earned the teams respect quickly. High IQ on and off the field as well. I hope he has a great bowl game, and gets a shot at making a roster in the league. I don't know that he could become a regular starter, but he's a great teammate and would add value as a career backup. Probably even a coach someday if he decided to go that route but depends what he wants to do with that engineering degree.

Funniest (Doodle presumes intentional) part was when he was yelling the "Can Can" audible and then the edit immediately cut to him doing the funky kick-stretch warm-up thing that sorta kinda resembled...

Great post! Even tho it’s only been one year, it sure feels like he’s been a Hawk a lot longer than that!

I wonder if his best chance in the league is as a Taysom Hill type of role. The dude runs so well - not a great passer so just my opinion but like tough to make a team as a pure QB.

You know the funny thing is the later in the season he has made some darn nice throws into tight windows. I don't know if he was still getting that shoulder into shape and working the kinks out, or if it was just the mental aspect of letting it rip. Kind of like when a guy comes off an ACL and having the confidence to really push hard off that leg. I'll certainly be interesting to following any career path he takes...

Guy has great heart and has been an excellent leader. Unfortunately, he's simply not close to being an NFL prospect today.

I am biased but just have a feeling MG is gonna have a signature effort in the bowl.
Might lose in a shootout vs pavia but will be productive.
Hope the game matchs the hype on paper.
2 5th year QBs.
2 teams with no opt-outs.
2 teams in top 5 in super leagues.
Let's get ready to rumble!

Think I read here somewhere that their TE opted out.
