What’s your point?

Did they dribble for 20 seconds and settle for a hurried 25 foot contested three?
Worse than that. The starting center jacked up an ill advised 3.

You're new to sports? A loss isn't a loss. Losing to a top 10 team is totally different than losing to a bad team. Also being one of the 5 best teams in the country and having a win over Duke is different than getting the snot kicked out of you by Duke.
My post was in reference to LOD’s whining about Cal not calling a timeout yesterday. Few called one and lost. And no, I’m not new to sports.

You’re seriously defending the loss to Seton Hall??

You really do believe everything Cal says. Wow
Dude, you’re way too emotional over a December loss. Hell, if not for a last second runner, John Wall would have lost his first ever game at UK against Miami of Ohio.

These people who you’re referring to as “LOD’s” are now the majority of the fan base. You and the rest of cal’s cheerleaders are stuck in 2015 while the rest of the country is laughing at us.

Dude...I’ve been pissed for years to be honest. Cal has utterly disappointed me to no end with all the NBA BS and player first and ONE freaking title in TEN years. This loss doesn’t have me emotional. It has me positively certain.

Sorry not sorry

Do not question King Cal on this board. Have u not yet learned there was no such thing as Kentucky basketball before him nor will there be after.

Cal may be a magician because he has made 8+ loss seasons acceptable here as well as losing 66% of the time to ranked teams the last 3 seasons, losing 3 straight to Kansas, getting bent over by Duke.

Never would I have thought we would try to justify 3 plus years of mediocre results.

Why call a timeout & let the defense get set. If Roy Williams would have called a timeout in the Elite 8 against us no doubt I think we would've won. BUT they did the right thing by not calling it & pushing the ball up the floor with defense out of position they get an open jumper.

The mistake was NOT Cal not calling a TO. The mistake was Hagans not pushing the ball when we had the numbers. He's young & got scared but I think you always have the advantage after a score to catch defense on their heels. If their is more time like 20+ seconds it's a different story....call timeout.

BTW, Coach K says that's the more efficient philosophy. Just saying

You probably should get out a little more. I was in San Antonio this weekend and watched the game with about 50-75 UK fans who are either stationed there or work there. Nothing but love for Cal and the Cats.

because when you dont call a time out in early december with freshmen handling the ball you have Hagans and Johnson screwing it all up.

In march when they know the plays well ......... not calling a TO is ok... in early december...coach the damn team instead of creating Hagans as your f***** scapegoat.

You just countered your own point. When you've got a freshman handling the ball who is "young and scared" you'd better call a timeout, otherwise you might have one of your bigs tossing up an airball from 3 when you should be taking it to the hole.

Yeah just because folks wanted Coach Cal to call a timeout doesn’t mean that people think calling a timeout and drawing up a play means it’s an automatic score .

No.

But Jesus Christ. Everything in life--you should do as well as you can. Wasting a time out and getting a bad shot is not maximizing your opportunity. Just because it isn't a guaranteed score doesn't make it good.

Cal can coach a perfect game and we can lose. I get it. When he coaches a perfect game, we'll talk. Losing by 1 with timeouts...not really a lot of good excuses.

That may work when you have a seasoned tournament ready team. But our present team is far from that. They are green and unproven so calling a time out to set up a play and calm their nerves would not have been unreasonable under those circumstances. Especially since our point guards are not elite and we have not proven we can shoot the ball consistently.

It is water under the bridge now and many UK fans are beginning to accept defeat and some do not care one way or the other. They justify a loss to a very mediocre Seton Hall team. As they say a loss is a loss is a loss.

I can't understand why people can't seem to believe what they see with their own eyes.
