On whether he expected a down to the wire game with Nebraska's previous struggles:

"Well when you say struggles I'd say they've lost on a lot of plays like we just lost on tonight. I wouldn't call that struggling, I would call that not winning at the end of the game. They very much so had a possibility at winning at the end of those games so their record is a little misleading. So congratulations to Coach Riley and his football team.

The db put hands on our receiver. The no call in the end zone where their db ripped our receivers arm down; more than leaves things in balance. Yes MSU plays tough; I have liked them - I am disappointed how they tend to grab receivers arms and such.

No, he didn't blame the bad call for his loss, but how would that have made him look had he did? A whiner and a coach with excuses. Frankly, I'm not sure many coaches actually would have. Certainly some. But I have to think majority of head coaches are going to take the high road. You have nothing to gain by blaming or whining about a call. So classy? Perhaps. But I think most coaches would have done the same. JMO.

I think we all know how our previous coach would have reacted.

I prefer his sideline demeanor over someone like Pat Fitzgerald or Bronco Mendenhall. Hate the cheerleader coach.

I would take those two in a heart beat.... I see nothing wrong with there're demeanor even remind me of BOB Devaney.
