The Gillespie injury was a bad thing for Rutgers indirectly. It likely pushed him back for another season and sent Trevor Keels from Nova to Duke. If Keels goes to Nova, Armstrong goes to Rutgers.

Can’t really blame them. Obnoxious as Nova fans are they are blessed with a coach who is a proven winner and arguably the classiest act in college basketball.

Not predicting where he goes but Pike has demonstrated he is a good coach and you could say proven winner who is a class act. RAC atmosphere, outstanding practice facility. Play in an outstanding conference and attend a quality school. Rutgers now should have cachet

Cachet? I wouldn’t say RU has cachet with Jersey kids. It’s the home school. Sometimes that’s enough, but more often than not isn’t when you’re talking about elite hs prospects.

Every crystal ball on 247, including 2 in the last 24hrs, indicate that Nova is Armstrong’s choice. Definitely not getting my hopes up on this one.

He's going to Nova. Rutgers was in it. Need to win recruiting battles with UConn and SHU. Rutgers will consistently be involved in battles with them. To a lesser extent Cuse.

This was expected but to me I feel bad for Pikiell and our assistants. RU was the very first team to offer Mark a D-1 Scholarship and we recruited him for 2 years. Villanova has only recruited him since December or 4 months. So it is in the recruiting world.
