I'm 65....retired golf course superintendent....at one time I was an 11...now with age and a bulging C-4 I'm a 16 going on 17 if I don't get some distance back off the tee....what set do YOU think I'd play?:golf:I'm now at an 10, at one time when I was living in Pinehurst (pre-kids) I was a 2.
That depends on how old you are and which tees you're hitting from.
i feel your pain, literally......8 iron is my 120 club now if I want to swing pain free and finish the round....ah the days when I could tee it up and just wail at it....those days are long gone and I'm paying for it now... and all the guys I play with are pros or 4 or 5 handicappers...they take me on captain's choice events cause I can still chip and putt with the best of them.....but my tournament winning days are over, and there weren't that many of them to start with:joy:You're definitely on the Senior tees.
I had back problems as well. I went to Wilmington to play back around 06, was at the range and pulled a muscle. I continued to swing, went to the scramble and was dying. I kept playing but I had to pretty much punch every shot, I had no backswing. That one scramble changed my entire golf game. By the time I healed I lost my swing. I lost 10 yards an iron. I went to see a pro for a lesson, he fvcked me up worse than before. My PW used to be a 145 yd club, now it's my 120.
