I didn't watch. Just no interest in all the TV hype and hyperbole. I followed it on line draft tracker.
Gonzo is a poster that has good takes and seems very perceptive. I trust his view on this. I just don't have the interest or patience to watch all that other stuff.

Honestly it wasn’t THAT bad but it was cringe and forced in parts.

I have a secret for you.

Most athlete interviews are boring.

Athletes tend to be kind of boring people, at least until they retire, presumably because they spend all their time pursing one not-terribly-cerebral activity in order to be one of the few to make a living off of it.

I consider it a tremendous bonus when an athlete interview doesn't make me want to bash my head against a desk.

I don't consider these human interest stories much of an improvement, but how mad can you really be at Maria? I mean look at her. If I looked like that I'd be intolerable, and she seems downright pleasant.

While we're on the subject, coach interviews are often nearly as bad as player interviews - thank God for coach Cal.

LOL, yeah I bet there are a bunch of Maria Taylor's walking around your local mall.
That's a 7 in @TopCatCal land, a 7 at best. I think the tiki torch fumes have affected his brain.
When it comes to hotness Maria Taylor is not even on the same planet compared to 10's like. Anna Kournikova or Eva Longoria or Laura Rutledge or Megan Markle. You cannot honestly tell me other wise. You go to any college campus in this country. And you will find lots of gals that's better looking than Maria Taylor.

Give me more Maria on ESPN please. I thought the interviews were fine. She didn’t just spring these questions on the players suddenly to appeal to their emotions. The media has been talking to these guys for a while now. The players have openly talked about their inspirations and struggles in previous articles and interviews. Most are very open and want to talk about these things. She didn’t run straight to a guy and ask about his dead mom with no warning. They were pre-screened questions no doubt and were expected by the players. Even seen her giving hugs to guys who teared up after the camera was turning away. I like seeing what drives these guys other than money but that’s just me.

You're still embarrassing yourself. She may not be your cup of tea, you may like big women, but denying her beauty and acting like she's a 7 is ridiculous.

None of the women you listed are 10s.

Media interviewers are notorious for pushing agendas. They always want a STORY.

I like Brian Regan's response to stupid sports reporters:
