Creighton in the Elite 8 led by a kid from Aurora, NE.

SDSU in the Elite 8 with a kid from Omaha that Tim Miles told to go to Prep School.

Gonzaga in the Elite 8 with a kid from Omaha that would rather come off the bench there than be the starting PG at Nebraska.

K-State in the Elite 8 led by a kid that our medical staff wouldn't clear to come here.
I'll take "Why NU BB sucks for 1,000 Alex"?

When KSU and Creighton make the Elite 8, it further illustrates the abomination that is NU hoops. Neither of those schools has more resources than Nebraska (hell, the only team in the elite 8 with more money than NU is Texas). Neither is located near mountains or beaches. Neither has a facilities advantage over NU.

The mismanagement of the NU basketball program continues to be mind-boggling.
You need to look up K-State history and you would be sadly mistaken..

keyontae said he had an offer from N. i guess he and media followers were lying.

After graduating from UF in May, Johnson entered the transfer portal, declaring himself medically cleared to play. He chose Kansas State over offers from Memphis, Nebraska and Western Kentucky. Gator Sports

All that and yet you are still jealous of Nebraska.

Sad.

well, you can always play the "jealous" card, i guess. i'm clueless as to what i'd be jealous of, but hey, it's a N fan forum.
You answered your own question. KSU is one win from the Final 4 and you are on the Nebraska board. Insane jealousy is the only reason a KSU fan would be giving Nebraska a second thought today.

Kinda pitiful, but expected from KSU fans.

What did I say that was inaccurate or had any relevance to KSU basketball history?
you said neither has the resources of N. well, tradition is a resources, see N football. so, that statement is inaccurate unless you believe tradition isn't.

actually, i've been here long before mbb season and explained many times that i grew up with N people in sioux city and had teammates who played for osborne. thus, my continuing interest in what N fans have to say.

I don’t consider tradition a resource, because tradition or lack thereof had nothing to do with NU’s hoop failures, nor did it have anything to do with KSU’s success this year. KSU’s basketball tradition is even more ancient than NU football tradition. It’s not relevant to the discussion.

Enjoy watching the PG Noell from KSucks, and will admit I’m not as hip as others on this board, but isn’t this rifle/sniper/sharpshooter symbolism maybe crossing the line? Has he done that all season?

Unbelievable how the path has opened for Creighton. Still think they lose tomorrow but man you can't ask for a better opportunity

Before being blinded by a statistical plum know that Kansas State has been ranked as the 27th most successful college basketball program.
Better than a hot poke in the eye (think Nebraska) but they are nowhere near a blueblood or elite program.

I love how Vegas made K-State just a 2 point favorite, causing 98% of public money to be on them 😂 Idk how they do it man but they’re doing it. A truly marvelous swindle

The good news for K-State is that if Texas goes deeper into the tourney than the Wildcats, Tang might stay there another year or two.

Thing is, though, both ksu and Creighton have basketball history and some tradition. And Creighton Is a basketball school with good donors. If Nebraska cared about basketball it would act like it.

To say Nebraska doesn't care doesn't cut it when you look at the money they are throwing around to the coach. I'll state it again that Nebraska needs to find an identity they want to be in basketball and go full on that way. I thought the Cincinnati/San Diego St was the way to go for Nebraska as you don't need high star players to be successful. Get long athletic tough players and stick them in the weight room and develop men. This type of team will work in the BIG and you can have success.

Sticking with a coach after five years while still spinning his wheels going nowhere is caring? Maybe saying that Nebraska doesn’t care is a lil far-fetched, but when you see how easy your conference teams get bounced in the tournament and yet you can’t make an NIT bid, what does that say? And I don’t know if you need McDonald’s All Americans to win, but you do need dudes. And Nebraska never has those.

Part of that is having no identity. What type of ball does Nebraska want to play? Pick the type of ball you want to play and recruit to that identity. I think the tough physical hard nose defense is the way to go for Nebraska personally, but find something and go with it. Nebraska has no idea what they want to be.

After last nights game U Conn and Texas for the National title on April 3.

By the way hope the whorns lose along the way ….
But Texas (or Miami) and UConn will meet in the semis.

One of three teams - FAU, San Diego State or Creighton - will play the winner of that game for the championship.
