I'm ready. For once, my spring break lined up with the best 2 days of college basketball.

I can sit on my ***, day drink, channel flip and watch 12-13 hours of basketball 2 days in a row.

Day 2 is also St. Paddy's Day and a Friday and I am off?!?!

****...Barretts opens at 10am. Clancy's opens at 6am, Brazen Head opens at 6am with a heated tent.

I might be black but tomorrow I am Irish African!

OK. I only watch CBB in March other than Husker games. Don't know **** about the teams. My buddy does a pool. I took Purdue over Kansas in the title game. Thoughts? I just rolled with the top seeds. Lol.

The less you watch/know...the better you will do. It never fails.

I have Alabama winning it all. I am hoping like hell that none of the Texas teams make it to the Final Four. They threw the top 3 in one region though, Texas, aTm and Houston. So I am a Xavier, Iowa, Penn St, Indiana or whoever fan in that regional. Tickets for the final 4 will be out of my price range if one of those teams makes it in.

That's the truth. I watch CFB religiously and once finished second in a bowl pool to a girl who picked the teams because of the team colors or mascots or something dumb like that. 😢
I am in a pool with two nuns that are over 75 years old...I should just go hand them my cash.

For contests like that, I almost always go chalk until the Elite 8. Predicting upsets in the early rounds is such a crap shoot.

I went with Arizona vs Texas in the final. I pay more attention to player drafts than brackets though.

The early games today suck.
I think that is what I have!

I guess it is true what they way...teacher that try to force kids to become furries really do think alike!

I spent at least two and a half agonizing minutes filling out my bracket. Picked Kansas....why not. I think I have 2 B1G teams making it out of first round.... Indiana and Purdue....and I have both of those going home in next round.

I had my students fill out a bracket. Lots of crazy picks from kids that have no idea who's who. Sometimes those work out for the best. Last year I had my top group pick based off of a chosen statistical category. Which took some heavy research for each round for 12 year olds. Was a lot for them. This year no way could these dudes handle that. So just gut and such picks. Did have one girl tell me that she did a lot of research. Hoping she wins so she can rub it in on all of the cocky boys who think they know what's what in the world of college hoops! LOL

Fun time of the year.

Very few picked Bama to win it all. Houston was the choice for many. Hell even Creighton got a pick from some homer in the class.

Please stop this, just teach the lessons, do not try and communicate with your students about anything else.

Thanks!

Also, I have done this with my students in the past too and they love it.

I was waiting for one of these lol. I know your jesting. Yeah kids get pretty hyped about doing this stuff. I was thinking about next year doing their picks based off of political affiliation. ;)

Of course I'm at the office stuck in meetings discussing the same stuff we discuss every day of my life.

Best two days in sports, no matter who you root for. Furman and Charleston are my big upsets today.
furman was a popular one (+5.5 at tip)

charleston +200 seems too good to be true. lots of trends against SDSU, including the Mountain West (a conference I am quite fond of) going 0-9 in their last 9 tourney games

I barely picked any B1G teams to win in round 1 and went out on a limb to take Purdue into the Sweet 16 -- primarily on your analysis that B1G teams blow in the NCAAs. I have $5 riding on this in my office pool so you better be right!!! :)

Sorry, just realized I meant this for Kong's OP.

For betting purposes, the under in the Iowa game is very tempting. Iowa players mentioned yesterday they can’t get used to the Wilson balls and the rims are extremely tight. Mix that with Auburn being 5th in 3-Pt defense, under 151.5 looks solid. Same rims as the Maryland game. Nantz just commented about it.
