Their offense is rough. I was pretty surprised at the Morris hire. It smacked of desperation, but Dabo's position on NIL and the portal (of which I'm in agreement) probably really limits his options for quality assistants.

I was surprised he didn't hire Jeff Scott back.

I have been surprised at how bad they have looked overall. From the end of the 2024 season, they have fallen off of a cliff.

You really hate to see it...snicker.

Dabo keeps his job if he goes after a portal QB using NIL. Honestly he may be done with all of it. Or he is just mad his ole fashion way is getting outbid.

It's amazing the moral high ground Dabo is trying to take given all the cheating Clemson did during the days when payments to players weren't out in the open.

My guess at this point is that Dabo looks at his ridiculous contract as "back pay" for the success they had. Clemson raked it in financially during those years and probably is still riding those fumes.

The University has royally screwed themselves though. They now have a coach on the precipice of receiving $60 million to not have to work 60-hour weeks and listen to the noise anymore. His history is already written and will always shine in history regardless of how the current situation plays out.

Their hope only now hinges on Dabo's pride to turn things around. Good luck with that.

Dabo is playing with house money now. He knows they really can't afford to fire him, so he can ignore the noise and do whatever he wants.
