Why detract from the choice of Ole Miss ? Do you really understand kids are not worried about that past history. And as others have told you Malone will be treated like a “ King”. Save the history lectures because if it held any value we would certainly have seen numerous athletes not attending those schools in question in 2021. Holy crap that did not happen hmmmn?

Ole Miss Baseball stadium and facilities are just amazing
And that pretty much sums it up in one picture. Let’s just say we have a long way to get anywhere near that type of facility.
I’m sure for at least some of their fans, racism is hardly in their past.
How can the State University of New Jersey expect to compete in terms of financial resources and facilities with the likes of the University of Mississippi ? New Jersey is just far too poor for any of that.
And who is richer than Mississippi ?
That stadium in Oxford the past 30 seasons was completed in three incremental plans which I believe the last part was completed in 2019. Total cost around 50 mil. And that is what we are still up against. Schiano wants that new indoor practice facility and Hale center re-do / slash super upgrade. Then we have the other upgrade... “ The RAC” ... just those few will take us into 2030’s and beyond.

In order for Malone to get on the baseball field at Ole Miss, he’s gotta be one hell of a player.
I don’t know if he’s that good.
He could have the full ok to play and realize after he’s out there he has no shot to play for two years.

If this was the case, Deion Sanders at Jackson St would have the #1 recruiting class in America starting from this year forward. Until Rutgers starts winning, most 4/5 star athletes will keep chasing the logo hoping to get to the NFL.

Wasn't it posted his Family will follow him wherever he goes...You can buy a nice house in Mississippi for what you pay for rent in NJ over 3 years...Theres no doubt The Mcdonalds bags and promises from Ole Miss taking care of Family had Everything to do with his choice...You know Ole Miss supporters were probably all over him/family last couple years!

I saw him play live this summer when we(Cranford) killed Bergen Catholic in the Last Dance Tourney. He is one BIG dude. Seemed very light on his feet for a boy/man his size. Guess that is why he is rated so high in football as a DT.

At that size was he ever MLB drafted? He's probably going to be in for a huge surprise when he see's how good baseball players are in the South compared to NJ...BTW that Cranford team was just sick..Jackson fan here and dealt with Beat down in Trenton
Did Rutgers make his top 14 at least? Because that what is really important! 
I went to every one of the Cranford games. We dominated all the name teams from Bergen County and then put a beating on a real good Jackson team. It helped stop the sting of not being able to have a spring season. It truly was a magical tournament.

Not on same level but how much did Bergen Catholic have to to spend to bring in him from an hour away everyday since his freshman year...Ole Miss and SEC is on a whole different level
Nothing. Doesn't the town they pay taxes in cover the cost? It cheaper than if he used the school system. I lived in Lavallette. Went to Point Beach HS. Lavallette picked up the tab. Same for all those shore barrier towns. Plainfield paid for busing to St.Joes Metuchen, Union Catholic etc.

If you're a parent and you walk those baseball (and football facilities) and then walk Rutgers. And then compare the history of both sports from each school. And then walk the campus of each.
Its literally an absolute no brainer. RU is not even in the same world in any of those categories.
The reality is that Rutgers needs to significantly improve its facilities and campus. Football is the only program that is on par with the average P5. AVERAGE. And that includes all the investment we've made there.
Basketball practice facilities just went to above average but the game floor is far below average.
Every other sport we're closer to average of G5 schools than we are to the average of P5 schools.

You can't pay what the southern teams pay for facilities. You can't compare to the team's in the South and West. He wasn't going to any northern school. Same for golf.
Read my above post. Towns not schools pay for transportation. Doesn't matter if they don't go to the local school.
