If he says mind is made up 100% and it’s us, wouldn’t he change that pic?

Brotha I think your dissecting it to much. I say let’s wait and see. It would be different to me if he just added that. But since it’s been their since his visit to the Vadgers...he might not of thought about it yet.

Is his mind made up and he’s announcing soon? Or is he being silent for awhile? When is he announcing?

Well if suddenly he changed his picture after a Nebraska visit that would kind of give things away before he was ready to make an announcement.

Kind of my point. He won’t give us any insider stuff till he’s ready to pull the trigger officially anyways.

I am going to guess that Wisconsin logo in the back of his profile pic is a bad sign for us.

Looks like Nate Clouse has flipped his pick from Neb to Wisc as of 5:15 tonight. Not sure that means anything 100%. These guys follow this stuff pretty close and usually have pretty good inside info.

Oh well. Maybe he doesn't realize Wisconsin's program is trending downward? Gonna miss the Husker train!

Not trying to be the ultimate kool-aid guy here, but, it seems strange for him to be here on an apparent very successful recruiting weekend. And visited multiple times before. And then, right after the visit, make an announcement for what appears to be another school. I wonder if he got news he didn’t want to hear. I mean, it just seems weird. I’d understand if he announced for Wiscy a month or longer from now, but, right after? Doesn’t add up, especially with our recent recruiting success.

Well let's look at the glass half full. If wisc gets Reed and we get nutsmasher, I call that a victory. Would rather have both, but.......

They want Reed and he is at, or near, the top of their list at ILB so that doesn't seem to be the case IMO

I have to agree but bro, NONE of us know who’s their number one, two or three guys. I want M Reed as well but that doesn’t mean he’s Frost number one LB. We are in a few 4 star LBs as well. If I had to guess, Cody Simmon is probably their first choice and we are doing pretty well with him.

Now I do wonder if any of these recruits pay attention to the teams depth chart any at all?? Wisconsin has 8-9 ILB with one being a Senior and then have 9-10 OLB with 2 being seniors and on top of that they have 3-4 LBs already committed to them and it looks as if M Reed and possibly Kade Johnson may commit as well at OLB. That’s A LOT of LBs. If they get all these guys signed...I definitely see a few transferring when it’s all said and done.

During at least the last recruiting cycle there was a lot of server space taken up with posts and replies on how NU wasn't going anywhere living on 5.6 3* commits. Reed and future Domer Watts are 5.6 3*s. Where are the "we can do better" posts?

To clarify, he said in an interview he was ready to commit to UW during his official, but Chryst told him to enjoy all the officials he had scheduled.

Well I’d hope so. You guys have taken 8 OLBs alone in the 2019-2020 classes. Teams doing this is exactly why we have some many players in the transfer portals now. Most teams set at 4-6 scholarship OLBs and Wisconsin is setting on 11 scholarship OLBs. Wow

Plus side...this should push Kaden Johnson out. He was a Wisconsin lean last I seen. I’d assume after Reed made his official, Wisconsin would be finished at OLB.

Reed is projected to ILB. If Kaden Johnson signs, we will have a total of 15 scholarship linebackers when this class arrives in campus. Pretty standard.

Pretty standard for Wisconsin maybe. 9-10 Scholarship OLBs and 9-10 Scholarship ILBs? Most teams I’m seeing have 3-4 less LBs on the ILB area and OLB area.

If we want to beat them out in recruiting, we need to beat them on the field first.

Brotha...I agree to an extent. We all seen head to head matches have no barring on recruiting what so ever. Heck we could lose to Wisconsin this year and still make the BIG10 champ game....just saying is all. I do agree, we need to get those wins going against them but I disagree about it effecting recruiting.

15 total between OLB and ILB. More than teams that run a 4-3 for sure. I'm not sure I'd use Wisconsin as an example for why so many kids enter the transfer portal. Certainly aren't elite recruiters and rarely 'recruit over' anyone. Just having a good run at LB I guess.
