No kid who is going to college publicly announces his leader and explains why they lead.

i'd bet.....uk is no longer interested in maker because of sarr. as a result there is only 1 school left they can use to negotiate against to get a better g-league/pro deal. so you announce how great ucla is. ed smith is looking desperate. hope it works out for the kid

I think it will. It somehow worked out brilliantly for Thon, and he had nothing but red flags and bad press leading up to the draft.

I don't think he's as good as Thon, but I do like his game. There's always a spot for 7-footers who shoot the three and protect the rim.

It will be hard to get an impact big man with Sarr on board. If he gets the waiver, then we have no room for a superstar.

We have four clear cut starters: Clarke, Boston, Brooks, and Sarr.

We have two really good players competing for the PG spot: Mintz and Askew.

The only question mark is whether Sarr gets to play or not. If Sarr is not eligible, then we are a mediocre team at best.

And unless they rule him ineligible before the end of Summer, I doubt we can sign anyone else that would be an impact player inside.

It would be great if Maker waited to see if Sarr gets his waiver.

I just hope Cal has a contingency plan in case Sarr gets shafted by the NCAA.

This is a real **** way to treat coaches. I'm probably not attending college but please pursue me in case my fickle mind changes.

At least 2. One is a pretty bad idea when your 4s are under 200lbs. First off Sarr isn't even eligible yet. Next, he could get injured or have foul trouble as most bigs do at points. I would think to play on the level UK does and in the Sec you want 2 guys that are over or 2 that are over 6ft9.
Sarr will get a waiver

There is no reason why he shouldn't get a waiver. Other players with similiar situations have received waivers. 86% of all requested waivers were approved last year.

The NCAA and their inconsistencies in matters like this come to mind.
