Never say never but I’m not holding my breath.
Memphis, Auburn, Oregon and the draft are options.
We either aren't getting him, or we're actually willing to wade into the waters a bit. He ain't playing for zero dollars next season no matter where it may be.

If we get him and Sarr is eligible, then we have one killer frontcourt. They can play together as Maker.can play the 4 or 5.
If Sarr is ruled ineligible, then Maker gives us a 5-star big man to fall back on.

Sarr is better for us than Makur Maker at this point guys. Maker is somewhat of a stretch 5 that thinks he’s a combo forward. Won’t work.
Man, this is just getting crazy at the point. We better have a college basketball season. If not, the meltdown will be of epic proportions. I’m already bracing myself to be pissed off.
Just gotta be a backup option if something goes array with Sarr. Hes not a Cal type player IMO. Big man who wishes he was a wing. Going to college would help wonders for Maker though in reality
What a lot of people seem to be skipping over is even if Sarr does get a waiver, still a big if, then we still only have 1 center on the team. Plus look back at our past years and injuries and foul trouble. We need 2 bigs. If it's Williams and small-ball so be it. If not we have to land a Maker, Cisse, or someone who can step right in and give us big minutes. Sarr won't play 40 minutes, he's not eligible yet.

I think that would become Jackson as our backup center. Not bulky but he is bouncy and long.
I like Jackson, as a 4. I would be really nervous if we went into the season with him as our starter though. Backup is pushing it, we really need another big. If Sarr was eligible I wouldn't be as worried or if we hadn't seen so many guys go down the past years. We were playing our best BB when RT went down and our team had to adjust. Then RT came back and PJ went down and we barely got him back for the last game of the year, but at that point, we weren't the same team we were earlier in the year. I really would like to see us have 2 solid centers and 11 guys going into next year. Some teams have 3-4 bigs, I just don't get how we struggle to get more than 2. Getting 11 assures us of one thing. Not feeling like we were one piece away yet again. We need 11 guys.
I’m just sitting back at my bar Drinking a bud select listening to Chris Stapleton and reading all the post. Maker, Williams, Sarr, etc. I love reading what all of you post. Will Sarr get a waiver? What’s up with Williams. Most wanted him, some didn’t, some didn’t really care, some thought he’d end up making some freshman transfer due to loss of playing time. This is all very entertaining, because no one knows who that final player or players will be. Trust in Cal and you’ll be happy in the end. I’m believe we may just get someone nobody is expecting or thought would be a possibility and wouldn’t that be peachy. Just enjoy the ride and the process. How many programs have as much fun with recruiting as we do. No one has Cal, Stoops, or a BBN. Be patient, it’s coming, if not today then the next tomorrow. Just know Cal is working, while I’m here at my bar drinking and thinking about the season. The Season that will be, not if, but when.
Im one who never worries. We’ve seen these things play out a hundred times. Either they come or they dont. I dont mind speculation but i always trust Cal knows what hes doing which makes my life a lot easier than some on this board who perpetually crap their pants in fear of whats next.
Those two are easily interchangeable. I however dint think Makur ever sees a campus

How many centers do you think 1 CBB team has? In the game of basketball I’m 2020 1 “load” of a center with 3-4 4-5’s type of guys is plenty. But the more the merrier.
Maker’s love for the UK program is legit.
Maker is highly thought of by the program and they've always maintained a great relationship with Ed Smith and Makur.
Maker is legit, then Woodford Reserve and Pappy. I like Jack as lott, but, was raised in Makers. We will have to see.

I thought we weren't recruiting Maker. Seems like I remember Cal figured out Maker wasn't interested in college, and Cal told Maker to give him a call if he changed his mind and wanted to be recruited. I could be mixing this up with a different recruit.

At least 2. One is a pretty bad idea when your 4s are under 200lbs. First off Sarr isn't even eligible yet. Next, he could get injured or have foul trouble as most bigs do at points. I would think to play on the level UK does and in the Sec you want 2 guys that are over 200lbs or 2 that are over 6ft9.
Maker probably isn't going to get drafted and if he does the best I have seen is a late second-round pick which would and him in the G League. Maker already says he doesn't want to play in the G League and that looks like his only option outside of college. I really don't get why he doesn't just go the college route with what he has heard. He should call Cal up and tell him he's in. He could be a first-round pick in 2021. I just wonder if he is worried about grades, going to school since he moved highschool 4 times. He and Sarr together would be ridiculous.

I would love to see a line up with Maker and Sarr together. Sarr being the bully and Maker swatting and altering every shot in the paint. I’m not sure what the offense looks like in that scenario but what a nightmare for opposing offenses.
