So if a child is late on these milestones (often the case with autism as many of these milestones are social in nature) they are prone to blame it on the vaccine. Outside the box is different from incorrect. Poliovirus is a virus that is testable. It is not a diagnosis of exclusion. Vaccines are some of the safest ways to prevent disease that we have. Their safety and effectiveness are obscenely impressive. Failure to maintain high vaccination rates will assuredly result in thousands of easily preventable deaths, many of which will be children.
