Main Problem Going Forward

Getting beaten by a good Iowa team is not the major problem. Getting beaten badly by them even is surmountable. The team seeming to totally give up in the fourth quarter scares me about the rest of the season.

^ ? as to how good this Iowa team is - when healthier, only managed to beat Pitt at home on a long FG.

This is a banged up Iowa team and the 'Cats still got crushed - says a lot more about the 'Cats than Iowa.

Iowa has a history of improving as the season progresses, us not so much-in fact we have somewhat of a regression in October- November may have some joy for us.

No joy. I used to greatly enjoy making Glen Mason jokes when he was at Minny. Every year, his teams would come out and start 5-0 or something similar. Big talk about that being "the year." Then they would hit their first hard game and the wheels would come off and they would end up 6-5. To me that was funny.

NU has never been that type of team. But this "October" thing is beginning to smack of the old Mason vibe.

I do not want to become a joke.

Pitt is better than many think.

Agree. These losses say more about NU than our early season wins.

Actually, it says a lot about both teams. Perhaps more about Iowa than NU.
