I know that dubmass. He left the Pirates LAST YEAR and signed with the Cubs, hence he is not with a contending Pirates team THIS YEAR.

Maholm started his career with the Pirates.

In the offseason, he signed with the Cubs. He was with them about half of a season give or take a couple of weeks.

Now he has been traded to the Braves.
