He posted the pic in one post and then said that
Played Ultimate at UK. After the bball team won the NC, Magliore starting coming to our practices. Said he played a ton in high school and always wanted to join our team. We started deaming of going to Nationals now. Around the third/fouth practice, he shows up and says his agent told him to can't play anymore...that was the point where I knew he was not coming back for his junior year...

Great guy.

As someone else already posted, he not only came back for his junior year but played 4 years at UK.

I still remember that shot by Saul Smith just before the halftime buzzer against Miami of Ohio. Has to be the only 15 foot 3 point shot ever. His feet left the floor behind the arc, with his momentum going forward in the air toward the rim he released the shot at the free throw line. It was originally counted as 2, but they reviewed it and gave him a 3..

Remember when Carruth went by Duke's bench barking after hitting a few shots? Damn he sure woke Jay Williams up. I'll never forget all the clean blocks Prince had that game, only to get whistled for a foul. We should have won that game.

He put his hands out and attempted to high five the players after hitting one three there in the corner. He was a dawg and every team needs someone like him, Cousins or Magloire on a team.

I am sure he did. He went off that night and was rarely heard from again. I think I do remember him having a good game at home...maybe against TN. Would love to know what he is doing now.

Not sure about now but in 2010 he was in jail for selling meth.

Cowtown, did Prince have some bad calls on some blocks that game, or am remembering wrong?
Okay I just finished the remainder of that game. There was a terrible call on Bogans going after a loose ball late in the second half. They called him for his fourth foul and Jones hit two FTs to tie the game at 73. Now, the last play of regulation, Williams drove to the basket and Prince and Camara both blocked his shot CLEANLY. Of course, they called a foul and Williams hit 1 of 2 FTs to tie the game at 78. Should’ve been the ballgame right there. The game proceeded to move to OT.

In OT, we were down 2, with 43 seconds remaining. Camara deflected the pass and it looked like the ball was touched by a duke guard (Williams or Duhon) before it went in the backcourt. I’m not entirely sure how that rule is laid out. Maybe someone can help with that? Williams then drove and kicked to the wing for a Dunleavy 3 that missed. Bogans had inside position and was shoved in the back on the rebound. No call, Jones grabs the board and lays it in. That put duke up 4. Fitch ends up hitting 1 of 2 FTs for he final score. TIFWIW.

The Donhtay Jones blatant push in the back of Bogans sticks out to me as one of the most egregious missed calls I've witnessed.

I felt like that team never really recovered from that game, too. They entered SEC play flat, then kinda sorta got their **** together, had a great senior day game where Fitch hit the game winner, then came out flat against USCjr in the SECT. They played Maryland even for about 30 minutes (maybe less) and other than Prince everyone looked miserable and ready to pack it up.

I couldn’t imagine why LOL. I did/do as well. I just didn’t realize how bad it really was. We looked like the better team that entire game. Just imagine if we had Parker.

It’s funny the reoccurring theme with duke’s opponents over the years. Especially in big games. I mean, UK and IUsedtobe in 1992, Maryland and Arizona in 2001, basically their entire run in 2010, Wisky 2015 and UCF 2019. One could throw UNLV 1991 in there for good measure.

Several of those coaches even spoke out about the blatant favoritism after the said games. Gary Williams and Bo Ryan in particular. I can’t remember if Bob Knight and/or Lute Olson commented or not.

Yep. I mean Bogans back even kinda folded up. He was most definitely shoved in the back. What’s even crazier is that the ref was looking DIRECTLY at the play. The game should’ve been over in regulation. The last play, Williams was CLEANLY blocked by both Prince and Camara. Wish someone could post a still shot of that play. Unreal.
