I have been very bullish on this team all throughout the season. Not so much at the present.
The loss of Mag has been huge. Aren't able to replace his defense. His much improved scoring & board work are also missed big time.
Cam continues to be in a slump.
Obviously Mag is not coming back this season & if Cam's slump continues I'm not at all upbeat about our Big Tourney prospects nor NCAA Prospects. Need Cam to break out, as we don't have any other scorers to pick up the slack.

Cam “continues” to be in a slump? Pretty sure he had 1 very good (Minny) and 1 decent game (MAU) recently. He’s at home tonight watch him light it up.

Defense? Held IU 11 below their average AT Assembly Hall. .

That was actually a below average defensive performance for us though still a good one generally.

I get what you’re saying, but they were at home and averaging 78 points a game when we played them. You have to take that into consideration when analyzing the D in my humble opinion.

BS he's missing wide open looks.
He seems like a really good kid and he obviously plays really hard every minute on the floor; but he’s not a true D1 player. It’s not a knock on him, just what he is. If he play on a top 10 team, he would get way more open looks. Would be nice if he could hit some open 2’s though

Mag was also more unselfish and didn’t always look to shoot first. Hayatt bulling through guys when shooters are wide open.

Without Hyatt, RU would have lost by 25

Or…they could have played more team ball and won - who knows.

To me, that is the biggest difference between Hyatt and Mag. Mag is much more unselfish and team/system player and Hyatt isn’t - which is why he was more valuable coming off the bench to give an offensive spark and change they way the opposing defense plays against RU.

Pike needs to figure out how to evolve the offense and d.

Don’t say that Cam is in a slump you’ll get your head ripped off

Dude was so wide open last night it was ridiculous. He was in place with hands up or hands out to receive the ball and shoot but nobody got him the ball.

Paul only looks for Cliff and refuses to shoot. Caleb seems off.

Wam, bam, what happened, Cam?

Unfortunately Spencer is in a prolonged and horrible slump and it's absolutely killing the team. Anyone who disputes this is either wearing scarlet-colored glasses or being downright dishonest. We are all rooting for the kid to break out of it, but at some point you have to try somebody else.
