MC basically manhandled rival Orange County tonight by a score of 87-62. MC could have scored 100 had they not called off the dogs halfway through the 4th quarter. Next up is 13-0 George Mason at Madison Tuesday night.

Madison and Mason should be a great game! Someone's unbeaten dreams will end although..both of these teams are going to make long tourney runs in my opinion.

How do you see the match up?

I'm not familiar with either team's bkground. I'm a Martinsville Bulldawg. We are 2A and the smallest classified team in our district. We hv lost one game, to Radford. We split our games, both teams winning at home. I just know, whoever has to play my Bulldawgs come playoff time, they better be ready.

I think I can say the same about my Leemen. R.E. Lee will be a tough out come tourney time. Martinsville is looking impressive though. They have to be the state title favorite at this point. Who do you see conference or region wise that may challenge them?

Nice hijack of a thread. I am sure your team is just awesome. Isn't Radford a 1A team?

Yes, Radford is a 1A team. They are also probably the best 1A team in the state. If you have any familiarity with Radford basketball, you know they are no joke regardless of classification.

Radford will cut the 1A nets down come March. Further, it is extremely likely that they'll be 2A next cycle.

Now back to talking at Madison County. I'm interested to see how they fare against GM, given that the Mustangs have some recent playoff success and are undefeated again.

The George Mason game should give some idea of where the Mounties are. I saw Mason crush William Monroe last week. They kind of remind me of the 2009-2010 MC team that ran the table. Their second team is just about as good as their first five. If MC can keep it a game, maybe we are ahead of schedule. I will go out on a limb and say that Madison will be in the hunt next year, if not this year.

Impressive to me that there is only one senior and he is a reserve.

Tuesday's result will certainly go a long way towards telling the tale.

In Conference 38, there's no1 2 stop us. Now in the Western Conference, I think Dan River, Appomattox, Gate City and Graham may be our competition.

Ant I keep hearing along with Gate City and Graham out west that Union has a really good team. Just some info I got from a coach out that way. Still along ways to go before the Dogs have to worry about that.

Very true Sir. There's still alot of basketball to be played. I honestly believe, if Martinsville stays focused, then it won't matter who they play. Just my humble opinion.
