The mild surprise hit a few days ago with UNC flipping Hardy from UVA. Was hoping for one of the Clemson recruits but one committed to UGA earlier this week. Grimes looks like he's committed to Wake. Doubt they go after Pearce as they've already locked up Atkinson and Hamrick. Think Mack hits the portal for 2-3 guys to help next year.

If Pearce signs today he will be a Vol more than likely.
Volquest been hinting all morning he might commit and sign today.
I'm just glad Mack inked this top 8 class in the country today for the Heels. A ton of local home grown NC talent, can't wait to see these guys the next few years.

I really think the kid has a crazy high ceiling. SEC weight room is gonna be huge for him.
This kid is going to be special. An edge guy, who runs like a wide receiver. Legit 6'5". They put a few pounds on him. He's going to be a problem. A more Athletic Bradley Chubb.
I always thought he was underrated. He was good last year. Just for whatever reason didn't get a lot of attention until late in the cycle senior season.

Listening to Austin Price talk about him from Volquest was cool. That is who he liked the most from signing day. Rodney Garner will make him a really good DL.
Volquest does a really good job. They talk about Pearce in this at about the 2:35 mark.
Don't drink that red koolaid. Doeren & co. aren't doing anything special in Raleigh. You're going to hit on some guys over nine years. Even Carolina has done that: Mack Hollins (0-stars), Cole Holcomb (0-stars), Jevonte Williams (1 offer).
It was more of me putting an emphasis on developing players and getting as much out of them as possible. Than going crazy over these guys with 4&5 stars beside their name. It was more of a shout to them, versus the school. I believe there are guys like this throughout the ACC.
There definitely are. You could build a competitive P5 program with kids that get overlooked in NC, VA and GA. Clawson has made a living doing it at WF. Doeren has to some extent. Fuente's inability to do so cost him his job.
Clawson for sure. Kenneth Walker leaves Wake and wins the Doak Walker award at Michigan State.

He's one of those kids, that goes to a mid-major and breaks records. Football school like the Buckeyes, you'll find out sooner or later which 4 stars going to be eating at the Table. TreVeyon Henderson 5⭐️ who came in with him was up for the Doak Award. He's going to be getting the majority of the reps. Very difficult to tell kids with stars ⭐️ beside their name, to wait. Especially with having access to the portal.
Agreed. UNC wanted Henderson and I thought it was a legit possibility for awhile but OSU is OSU. Knew he was going to be good but not this good.
I think it's just speculation at this point and I don't know how that'd work with Hampton, Pettaway, Hood, Edmonds...Brooks coming back. Pretty crowded room. But couldn't imagine he's happy with not getting much burn where he's at. Would be a huge get wherever he landed.

There he is! Overachieved the first year as he won more games than the two previous seasons combined. Decent showing last year and underachieved this year. A lot of talent on the roster, just need to get them on the field. Go Heels!
Pretty obvious we saw a team that underachieved all year that was excited to end the year on a high note vs a underachieving team that was ready to wrap up the season. Both the OL/DL are graduating a ton of players so we'll finally see what Mack's recruits can do in the trenches.
Better at recruiting than Coaching! Hopefully they’ll eventually be able to put it all together.
Silver was injured all year and I think played in mop up duty 1-2 games. The other only 5 star is Grimes, who was supposed to be a true frosh this year.
