MacBook - new vs refurbished

For business, on a budget so price is a consideration.

Need it for basic pc purposes plus mobile photo editing.

Ok with knowing I will upgrade but if I can get a year or two of good performance, refurbished is ok.

Thoughts? Where is best to find refurbished MacBook? Or is it a terrible idea to not just buy s new one

Other than my phones, I buy all Apple products as refurb.

I had a MacBook from 2006, it finally pushed up daisies just 6 months ago. And that was because my stepdaughter dropped it (which is why she never gets anything like that "new" lol).

Point being and in my experience, unless you simply must have the latest and greatest, I would imagine a refurbished MacBook would be a damn smart buy, and it's definitely the route I'm taking when we go to buy another. I would take a few dents here and there to save a couple grand or so (based on the 15 inch option).
