Asheville may be a pretty good football team, but they will be underdogs in 4 out of their next 5 games. DB this week has over 2300 students and holds Tennessee records for winning percentage.

My scores would look similar to this except I think Asheville wins by 10-14.
Heritage will cause Erwin problems at the line of scrimmage.

It will not shock me to see TCR win by a larger margin than is anticipated. This game could be a “ putting people on notice” game for them if they really get things rolling.

I'm not sure about Watauga, but I believe it is replacing almost all of last year's team. This is a game that TCR could absolutely dominate.

I think TCR has that chance too. I think both teams are being judged a little more on their past than present. TCR has put together a squad of talent but I think many people are like “It’s TC, we’ll believe it when we see it.” Meanwhile, Watauga is riding on the coattails of the last few years in peoples’ minds and though they’ll be well-coached and scheme well, the talent just isn’t close to what it was last year.

Watauga is replacing their entire 2- or even 3-deep of offensive skill players but is still pretty good and has the best coach in NC..IMO.

Can’t help but chuckle…blown away by the fact that everyone on this thread picked Maiden. Heck! I thought the Blue Devils were the under dog. I guess I’ve been reading the wrong thread!😉

Nope, I’m not exactly sure how Maiden looks but Reynolds is an average team at best right now from what I’ve seen. Also, seemed like they may cause their own selves some issues at times. If I look at their schedule right now and make my guess, I say they finish 5-5. Future Losses to Robinson, Freedom, Asheville, and TCR.

There’s a lot of excitement in Candler right now. Good for Enka, it feels like a culture change is finally happening. I know they’re not beating any real juggernauts right now but these are games that Enka typically struggles with early on. Building momentum and confidence can go a long way.

Enka looks to be playing really good ball right now, but Hayesville is not good and North got blown out this week. If they're competitive next week and can beat Cherokee, that would be great for them.

I think Enka will beat Cherokee and probably McDowell. In conference I like them over North Buncombe and Erwin is 50/50. 5 or 6 wins is a great year in Candler
