It would be great to see the gang all back here together discussing how 6-6 or 7-5 with a too tough schedule is MUCH better than having 13,000 people cram into a stadium to watch 2 undefeated teams play while it is streamed to several thousand more people.Very quite on here. What happened to all my Warrior fans? After the Reynolds loss they have vanished. I know that loss sucked really bad the way it happened but the team is playing good ball..
No offense intended, but the reason your peeps are gone is because watching Erwin finally win games against Enka, NB, and McDowell is kind of a letdown after all the excitement of losing most of their games to better teams early in the season. Moral victories won't carry you nearly as far as real victories.
I couldn't help but notice YOU also suddenly had an interest in the Haywood county schools after belittling their schedules/records as inferior for most of the season. It's nice to get caught up in a game of undefeated teams with a lot on the line, isn't it? Keeps interest alive and the hope for something big directly in front of the fans and teams. I'd say this years Haywood showdown would be at the least categorized as "Legendary", wouldn't you?
Much better than running the table on a weak MAC (Erwin still has just one conference title in the past 35 years, correct?) to finish 7-4 before a road game and exit in the playoffs, but that's just my opinion. I'm not trying to "bash Erwin" as you'll no doubt spin this, just pointing out your guys have figured out what I said weeks ago: winning is more important than bragging about who you lost to.
