My picks...

Reynolds 48 McDowell 28 - This should be a pretty easy game for ACR but you cant take McDowell lightly because they are very big up front and have a decent team.

Erwin 55 NB 14 - Erwin could pick their score in this one. Damien Ferguson was a little banged up last Friday and with a bye week next week I don't look for him to play long vs NB. If that is the case it will not be as bad as it could be.

Asheville 24 Roberson 21 - I am torn on this one. Roberson has a really dangerous team. They are huge and really athletic. Their defense is very good as well. That being said, Asheville just seems to win these type games every year and it wont surprise me if they do this week as well.

Reynolds and Mcdowell: Reynolds will beat the hell out of McDowell. McDowell plays hard. Wont matter. Reynolds 55-14.

Erwin and North Buncombe: North Buncombe will lose this game. 52-7

Asheville and Roberson: Last year we were not a good football team and we needed a 4th and goal on the 1 foot line to take the lead against Roberson at home with a RB who had 4,000 rushing yards with 30 seconds left to win this game. This year our team isn't as good as last year. This year Roberson has a much better team than last year. This year we are on the road. This year we don't have a 200 pound RB, quite the opposite. Having said all this, Asheville has 4 games remaining in the 2016 season and will be the underdog in 3 of them. Vegas would have us an underdog in this game, a double digit favorite against NB and a double digit underdog against Erwin and our first round playoff game which will likely be in the Outer Banks.

AshCougar1 I doubt it's going to be at the outer banks, but you might be coming down here where I live to play Weddington or Sun Valley! Ever heard of those teams? ;););)

Yes I live here but still travel to Asheville to see my Rockets! I'll be in Marion this week. It's not too bad a trip down here. :D:D

I have watched Mcdowell play a number of times through
the years and can't recall them ever being good. One high school for
the entire county and still can't produce anything noteworthy.
Something about those one high school per county teams....
They have all resembled one another through the years... no kidding

Alex central, Watauga, South Caldwell, Mcdowell

I'm pretty sure West Caldwell is in the same county as South Caldwell. Also I believe Scotland County and Richmond County have faired pretty well over the years.

Mitchell Co has done well as has Mtn Heritage representing their counties. I'm just having a little fun don't get upset. :D:D:D

Alexander has had some good teams, not state title contenders but has been decent. Watauga has been the good the past few years .

Very quite on here. What happened to all my Warrior fans? After the Reynolds loss they have vanished. I know that loss sucked really bad the way it happened but the team is playing good ball..

I just found out Damien Ferguson broke his foot last week and will not play vs NB tonight. I am sure Erwin will still win pretty easy but I just hope it doesn't last long. On a side note, Donald Trump is in Asheville for the 2nd in the last month. Just thought I would share....:D

I call BS on this. Damien Ferguson has a broken foot and the citizen times hasn't done a 2,000 word editorial about the social and economic impacts of this? If this is true someone better get AP a psychiatrist lined up asap. I have to imagine a broken foot is a pretty serious injury. Maybe we haven't seen anything from him is because he's bedside with him crying right now.

Just follow the likes. Mr Pearson does a great job for all of WNC. Most stories he does will have a handful of likes and shares. Most stories he does on Erwin will have 50+. He is not stupid. Besides, Damien has passed for more yards than any qb in the history of the mountains. That deserved a little press I think.

As for the injury, it is legit. He was limping badly the entire 2nd half last week. Now I know why. Erwin plays NB tonight with a bye week. The timing is perfect.

I really don't know the severity of it. I just heard he did and he wont play tonight. As for Mr Pearson showing Erwin love, he picked us by 14 over NB. That was funny.

Come on dude really. Who wants their kids to look at someone like trump as a president. Not sure if you are married but how would you feel if someone called your wife fat and ugly. And this is someone we want to be the president. I don't think so. Hillary is going to swallow this guy up. Then hopefully he will get lost.

Have you forgot who Hillary is married too. He is a great role model! Hillary thinks it is ok to kill a baby days before birth...Now tell me about morals and all that! I will leave the politics be on here, but you can take that liberal sh** and stick it where the sun don't shine!

Anyone see how WR Kaedin Robinson did tonight for Reynolds? He might be the most under utilized player in the country but with the whooping they laid tonight, I figure he had to have done something special.

and dont forget hilary is responsible for the deaths in benghazi as well. then she lied to the families of those murdered americans. i agree its time to get the career politicians out of government and have people that know how to run a business in washington. and remember hillary ran the bimbo eruption unit for her husband when he was president. she destroyes all 100 of the women that bill molested and abused, so if trump calls a few women fat or homely i really dont care . his are just words bill and hillarys are actions against women.
