First of all I Tommy Pursley may have been a HOF coach but he had no interest in the community and only cared about his record and retirement $. He let the kids talk and act anyway they wanted and never fostered character and that is what JT has inherited.
Second you play who you have and the talent you have so anything said about that is stupid.
Thirdly yes it is a tough situation when family is involved. I am not at practices and don't know what the kids are capable of or what the dynamics are. I believe he would probably rather play a Jr over his freshman brother but we arent making those hard calls, sometimes winning ins't everything. Building a program out of all the damage we have suffered under Pursley and Keifer will not happen overnight. I wish you armchair coaches would get behind this new coach and quit your assumptive critisims and do something positive to help rebuild our program. GEEEEEZZZZ

Serious question for the Tuscola guys. How come tuscola doesn't use Cullins at qb? He done a good job at it as a JV. Imo

I've wondered the same thing bear, he's not made for the running back position and I say that due to the consistent injuries, also I am absolutely behind the coach and I think he has done a good job trying to change the offense but its just frustrating to watch the coach shoot himself in the foot game after game just trying not to upset two kids family, just make the change and tell them to dry the damn tears...in other words...grow a pair!

Damage Pursley and Keifer did to the program? Complete idiotic homer statement. They have over 500 wins combined. Is this because they didn't play Daddy ball and made the kids accountable? Wait, were they not from around here? Comical. That team is not even close to being as disciplined as a Pursley team. I have noticed Waynesville always bitches about a Coach they can't control and then after they hire a guy, (that is from around here and loves the kids), he can't do the job and they end up hiring a proven 'outsider' winner to clean up the crap show. When their kid graduates, they just disappear. Supporters in Canton are there for life. One thing with Pisgah, their Coach could give less of a crap what elected officials and donor parents have to say.

Building a program? What the hell does a first time coach know about building a program? Not saying he can't do it, but where is his credibility or resume to do this, especially at a program with limited talent. I think you should support the new Coach, but that appears to be a team not anywhere close to maximizing their potential offensively. The damn defense is the best one you have had since Keifer. Give him credit for that and hope he can get the job done. Other than that, you have much better talent this year, show us something.

He’s never got a shot to begin with!
Middle school undefeated/ j.v undefeated with him at qb . Sophomore running back ? Pursley had his pets he wasn’t one of them . He would be better right now than what we have. Coach could have played the freshman against Enka and north which he did with a couple of minutes on the clock only to hand off and kneel down . In my opinion he doesn’t want the kid to have an opportunity to look better further making this a messier situation Than it is. This is no knee jerk reaction to losing to Reynolds . You could see this coming game 1 .

I am just glad no one in Waynesville talks about the Coach from Canton that really 'damaged' the progam by underachieving, leaving the program in debt that took three years to overcome, left the program a month before the season, and then couldn't win a playoff game in three years with the #1 RB in the country because defenses figured out what happens when you only run the jet sweep 45 times per game. But let's deflect how bad that situation was because it is 'these damn outsiders' fault. That is the real parallel universe.
