Mitchell was not much of a threat to pass. Mt Airy has receivers that will get attention or get burnt. I would probably have a bubble screen or two on standby since Tarboro had trouble with it.

Mitchell had nearly 300 yards more passing going into last years game than Mt Airy does now. But Mitchell should have thrown more in the game because actually they had the ability it just during the year they didn't have to that much because the run worked so well but they should have against Tarboro.
It doesn't have to be anything long short routes and quick a screen etc though I'm not sure about a bubble screen with the Tarboro speed it's not a matter of wether your receivers are slower or faster or anything but with a bubble screen they may be tackled before they have a chance to run.

While I'll and even said myself that Mt Airy was probably the better team talent wise last year it's not always about talent I've seen least talented teams win before for different reasons luck I guess sometimes, and sometimes it's not making big mistakes or getting turnovers etc but being the better team also means having discipline which Mt Airy didn't have and Mitchell did that's another way to lose to a less talented team.

Man you need to get a grip. People are just giving unbiased opinions about two great teams. No one is hating on either team and are just giving their personal views about the upcoming game. The best way to turn other fans against your team is how you react to their honest opinions. Usually the West will back the West and the East the East. You take any comment that doesn’t worship MA as a slight. MA has weaknesses and it’s okay to be critical of them. I hope Ma wins but there are several advantages they’ve had all year that will not be one on Saturday. It’s an objective and rationale observation that doesn’t fit your little MA has 12 D1 running backs narrative. Get over yourself princess and enjoy the ride on Saturday. They are teenagers not adults. It’s a kids game.

It is much easier to defend when the QB runs the ball 50% of the time. If I remember correctly, Mitchell took a time out at a critical point in the game to discuss the next play - came out and the QB ran the ball - again. They needed some wrinkles for sure.

It is that time again. Can always count on Tarboro to be playing in December. NHHS had a solid year, better than expected. I think we were a little careless with the football and it cost us one round in the playoffs. I think we should have made it to play Millbrook. Anyway, good luck this weekend.

Mason has the ability to catch out of the backfield or line up at WR. He doesn’t have the numbers because they haven’t needed to use that aspect of his game. No one has been able to stop their run game, so they haven’t needed to throw to Mason as much. MA has the same QB as last year, and he put up more numbers than he has this year. There's the thing though. I'm not saying they won't be able to but practice is one thing it's hard to just flip a switch and do things that you haven't done all year consistently in real game situations.

Well I'm not saying they can't just saying it's not something that they regularly do in games. Being consistent comes with doing something over and over in game situations.
Of course it also may come down to play calling and being willing to call plays that might be out of your comfort zone which Mt Airy maybe more willing to do.
Seems that last year the Mitchell coaches weren't even though they had good receivers and had more passing yards than Mt Airy does now and did pass to the RB coming out of the backfield quite a bit, but they went even more conservative for some reason. So I would think surly Mt Airy won't make the same mistake.
Like been said puting some more wrinkles in the play calling.

Ok my remark was not meant to be bad. But here is the truth. Andrews may have been little overrated and over achieved. Got beat bad at Home by a team MA beat 35-6 and rushed for 516 yds. Thats why I said Andrews is not MA. Meaning MA is just better team and can make the adjustments. You one took it the wrong way so there thats the wrong way.
