C'mon man. Lots of supposition in your post dude.
Yeah I'm not a Frost apologist, but I wonder if it's possible that Martinez actually won the job over Gebbia last year and that going into 2019, Frost had more confidence in Martinez than (gasp!) Noah Vedral?

Somehow that doesn't seem all that far-fetched to me.

These posts are stupid. Gebbia couldn't even start at Oregon State. And people think he was better than Martinez last year? Besides he's a ****** teammate, and I'm glad he's gone.

I must be the only one who doesn’t see Luke as a good QB. He can’t throw downfield and you can run the QB keeper only so long until the teams just key on him. He will get hurt too easily as shown already this year if he has to run too often. He should be a WR. Having him on the field with wandale and jd would be fun.

He can’t throw downfield? He threw a touchdown pass on the money

I have not seen enough of McCaffrey at the college level to say if he'll be a capable downfield passer. But, who are you comparing him to? I sure as Hell like his chances of hitting receivers downfield as often, or more often, than Martinez.

Yeah I'm trying to imagine the August press conference where Frost says, "I know you were all expecting Adrian Martinez to be our starting QB this year, but after a fair and open competition I've decided to go with my former backup at UCF."

Really? A reason Frost doesn’t call for “drop back passes” with Luke might just be because he wants to use all of Luke’s assets—not just his passing acumen.

using an option to get the WR open isnt an indictment of the QB---it's an indictment of the recieving crew getting separation----LMac put the ball on the money and that was coming in cold
