There was also some ridiculously idiotic clock management in the 4th quarter when NU had the lead. Even the national broadcasters, who usually bend over backwards not to criticize coaches, went on at length about it.
Sure...but that game was over if that dude doesn't hit that WR when he did.

Oh you’re absolutely right about that. I was just adding to your point about the loss not being only about having to play Jared Bunch at QB.

There's also no guarantee that Gebbia gets us another win (or 2) that season. That's all just speculation. Gebbia could have ended up the starter when AM got hurt & doesn't relinquish the job but ends up losing a game or two that AM helped us win. It's silly to play that game and make those claims. One scenario is just as likely as the other.
AM won 1 game (@ILL, 2018) in his 40 starts here

McCaffrey authored by far the best win in AM’s career at NU

there would be no difference in win/loss if a mule replaced AM at QB the last 4 years.

Do people forget that NU had CU beat in the first game until that dude hit the CU WR like 16 minutes after the ball sailed over his head??

That game was over right there.
The only thing I remember was that we lost to a ****** Colorado team two years in a row. That is all anyone should remember.

Huskers were rolling in the first half leading 17-0 in Boulder and then the defense allowed 24 4thQ points and lost in OVT.

As I recall Martinez had costly turnovers and we didn’t have a FG kicker that could kick far enough to help win us the game..

Everyone is pointing to the continued symptoms of this program. They have haunted this program for 4 years, and it isn't just from the QB position. The total number of inept plays is a long and lengthy one. Until Frost shows us he can learn from and fix these issues, they are sure to repeat.

Yep. And Frost was right to ask him to switch to WR. The kid is not a QB. What a wretched analyst of QB talent Harry Potter was. Kid should never have been recruited as a QB in the first place.
Frost also proclaimed him as Nebraska’s “future at qb”. That wasn’t Harry P making that statement.

Probably just trying to keep him from transferring in the hopes he would switch positions later.

Yep, Coach Frost is a " not ready for prime time" coach! Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota coaches laugh at him! Watch his sideline demeanor & body language! Bad! And I hope we win 7 to 9 games this yr! When are tickets mailed out?

Also…Spielman dropped a TD (right in his hands) that would have put that CU game in the books too.

Could have easily won 2 or 3 more games if we put Luke back at RB and had like a dual qb system that year. Adrian, Luke, and Wandale were the only offensive talent we had that year and Frost decided to keep Luke on the bench. Adrian and Wandale by themselves proved not to be enough, but Luke would have opened up badly needed space. Just another one of Frost's asinine decisions.

His NU coaching career. He has said some ridiculous ****.
I for one fully support HCSF. He has been dealt a basically impossible hand. I don’t blame him for being anti-social and blame others. It’s gonna take probably 7-10 more years to be competitive

That's ridiculous. A great coach could come in here and be competing for the Big Ten title by year 2.

Most of the issues had to do with Frost's hairbrained ideas.

Live or die with Martinez. Where did that get him and this program?

How many close games did Frost actually blow with bonehead calls or lousy time management in a game situation?

How many potentially outstanding players did he ******** his way while they were walking out the door?

I could go on for long time and point out HOW he has managed to snooker himself into trying to survive in a job that requires some actual self-reflection and having the balls to get rid of coaches that have proven not capable.

It's not hard to understand why all the other coaches in the Big Ten voted Frost at the bottom of the Big Ten coaches. He's looked at as a fraud by the other coaches. Even the national writers say Frost is in the hottest seat of coaches for the year. So everybody is wrong, and you're right?

If he's smart, and I know he's a smart guy, he will keep his nose out of Whipple's offensive planning and just go around and slap players on the back and be their "friend", while he continues to try to blow smoke up their asses.

You think Saban, Urban Meyer, Osborne had "friends" on the team? They had players, winning players, and if they didn't produce they were willing to put someone in who could produce. They coached to win games, not win friends.

Frost's record at NU speaks for itself.

Luke wanted to play QB , and how do you know Frost didn’t approach Luke about this.

This is all 100% Riley’s fault. The guy basically made Frost do all those things

Who gives a crap what he wants. We needed him on the field. Frost either didn't have the balls or the brain to make that happen. And he ended up leaving anyway.
