GEAUX TIGERS!

My #2 for about a decade now!!
Have you been to a game there yet? If not you gotta go. Pick a Saturday night game.
People talk about atmosphere and eye candy at some of the South East colleges. LSU takes a back seat to no one.

Both Bama and LSU are getting in (if the only lose between them are against each other). Add in Clemson and the B1G champs.

Why can't PSU and OSU both get in using the same criteria. OSU beast PSU close and then the both win out. PSU would have the same justification to get in as the Bama LSU loser.

Seriously? You really believe that if Bama , LSU combine for a 24-1 record and Ohio State and Penn State do the same they will pick the one loss team from the Big 10 over the one loss team from the SEC??

This narrative is such a joke. It really is. 5 SEC teams would beat anyone in the B1G with the exception of OSU.

That's funny. After you get past LSU and Bama I don't think there is an SEC team that would finish with a winning record in the BIG.

They won't but PSU would have just as good an argument for it.

I totally agree. The bottom of the the SEC is almost as bad as the bottom of the Big Ten. Except the Big Ten has Rutgers at the bottom. Advantage SEC.

Because SEC > B1G
I don't like it, but facts are facts.

one of the advantages of the SEC 8 game league schedule is 1 less Power 5 opponent

The B12, Pac 12, and B10 have 9 league games meaning there is 1 game against a divisional foe instead of a bought game.

While Ohio St shouldn't lose to a Rutgers, Indiana, Purdue, or Northwestern - it can happen easier than a game against FL Atlantic or Miami Ohio at home.

LSU OOC - Ga Southern, Texas (tough OOC game), NW St, and Utah St
Bama OOC - Duke, NM St, S Miss, and WCU
Ohio St OOC - Fl Atlantic, Cincy (was ranked at time), Miami Oh
Sorry, the concept of fewer conference games making it easier for a team to post a good record is considered heresy here, given that the Messiah generated his limited success under the small Big East schedule.

The SEC is insanely overrated. As a result they get way too much credit for beating SEC teams that themselves were extremely overrated, Bama has beating no one good at all, same with Clemson, they are both ranked way too high base purely on brand and not results.

insanely overrated? How many SEC teams are in the top 10 ? Now compare that to any other conference

Florida has been better than Georgia this year, and will beat them this weekend.

In the past three games, yes. Tennessee was able to have their DL play with UGA's OL, which is something I haven't seen in years. South Carolina beat Georgia because their DL was effective getting to and hitting Fromm while doing a good job against the run. I have never seen Fromm as off target as he was against South Carolina. Georgia has lost their last two against the spread because their OL has not played as well as it has played in the past. Georgia is a 5.5 point favorite and I wouldn't lay the points, but I would consider playing Florida on the money line.

For a team that recruits as well as Georgia, they surprisingly have not had any WRs step up when teams have focused on stopping the run.

They have struggled in a lot of their games this year even when the level of opposition has meant the game wasn’t in doubt.

I expect to be on Florida in this weekend’s game.

When we dumped the Floodster i wanted Ed O very badly and got laughed at by many here for making such a suggestion. LSU deserves to be #1 from the schedule they've played. OSU is good but they haven't played anyone yet and i believe LSU,Bama and Clemson will take them when it counts.

******** 4-5 years ago when he wasn't getting a sniff from other P5 teams we could've got him and to be honest I only wanted him to restock the talent here than after he got fired(if he didn't work out) but instead we hired u know who.

The passing game woes have not been on the WRs. Fromm has been getting pressured and his accuracy has suffered. Fromm has completed over 66% of his passes in his two and a half seasons at Georgia with a 2.0 Int rate, but he completed less than 55% of his passes and threw 3 picks in the loss to South Carolina. I have never seen him so off target.

Interesting trivia in this game is that the team that was off the week before the game over the last 30 or so years has won the game. That streak will continue because both teams were off last week.

I see the line is up to UGA -6 and it opened as UGA -4. Might be worth the wait if your taking the points because UGA may rise to a 7.5 -- 8 point favorite by Friday night.

Fromm hasn't had a great year, but UGA lost their top five WRs in yardage gained from last year, and the replacements are not getting the separation you would expect for a team like Georgia that recruits at such a high level.

I still wouldn't want him. He inherited Dave Aranda and LSU has the wherewithal to make him the highest paid assistant at 2.5M/yr to keep him and lucky for him Aranda doesn't seem all that eager to be HC like Venables at Clemson. He fouled up his OC hires initially but have to give him credit for getting the recommendation and hiring Joe Brady who has done wonders for their offense.

Still not a fan of Orgeron but he can work at a place like LSU or somewhere similar because they have the wherewithal to hire and keep top assistants. Aranda he didn't even have to identify, Miles hired him. At a lower status school without the budget if you're that CEO coach like Dabo or Orgeron you're likely going to have to be good identifying coaches more frequently cause you won't have that budget. Higher budget isn't a guarantee but it helps a lot and Dabo/Orgeron have been fortunate to have 2 guys who almost don't really have a strong desire to leave so they don't even have to worry much about that side of the ball.

Ed O can't coach worth a damn, he is not is anyway a X and O guy, which is why for him to be successful you must overpay to get a high end OC and DC or it will never work. Ed O is about building hype and recruiting his arse off.

Georgia and Florida would .
Funny...B1G braggadocio is just as misplaced as The SECs...there are more than 4 teams that would roll big ten teams and the “worst of the SEC” is certainly better than the worst of the B1G...
