I didn’t mind clicking on the link, but to each their own
I can't see embedded tweets on my laptop, so I appreciate it when people post a link instead of embedding them.
What if someone just made their SixPack posts out on a blog, and instead of typing them here, just put out a link you had to click on to read them? It would be annoying as ****.
It should be a SixPack rule that you aren't allowed (maybe punishable by a 1-week mute on 3rd offense or something) to post any links to YouTube or Twitter, since we have those features here on the board. Why have the features if people aren't going to use them?
You alright man? Seem a little on the edge for a message board. I know it's monday and some people get more stressed. Is there somebody to contact for you?
Why can't people learn to embed Tweets? No one wants to click on any links when you can just show it here directly.
This is my pet peeve, just like churches being open is yours. We all have our hills to die on and often don't care about others'.
I like the link being there as well. I mainly use my iPhone for SPS and I use Firefox as opposed to Safari and I can’t see embedded tweets either. Embedded videos work fine. Idk

There’s no option on mobile view, and I’m not going through the hassle of dealing with full site on my phone because someone doesn’t want to click a link.
No... one is over the top behavior about a post not being the way you prefer. The other is being upset over a clear violation of the 1st by shutting down a church. If you don't and can't distinguish between the two, your issues run deep.

NFL really should allow players to be eligible after 2 seasons. Hardly anyone has a true breakout season, worthy of NFL draft discussion, until their second season anyway. This would get rid of opt-out trend, virus or not. It was happening long before that.
I don't really see any downside.
ETA: This guy is a senior, so I guess it would be a moot point for him. I guess he feels like he can't raise his draft stock. I had no clue who he was, personally.
I laughed.
Honestly though, not everyone knows how to embed things. I sure as hell don't from mobile. Should those that don't know how refrain from joining the board or participating because they aren't as tech savvy as you? It's a minor inconvenience and Mark Dallas does a good follow up job for dubmasses like me.
Here you are ruining another thread. Learn to embed tweets. Don't be lazy. It's annoying to make the viewer clink on a link when all you have to do is learn how to embed a tweet.
Decent point, but I don't think many guys earn their degrees in 2.5 years either do they (they aren't going to class during the spring of the NFL draft)? And let's not pretend that the NFL currently waits 3 years because they want players to graduate. If a recruit is going to leave after 2 years, why give him a scholarship? You know he's not going to finish his degree, so why waste the money? Remember - we're a university, not an NFL minor league place.
I hear you, but I dont think you have to be "tech savvy" to put Tweet tags around a number. If a person knows how to get a url and paste it here, all they have to do is cut it down to the number and throw up a few letters before and after.
Maybe in a perfect world the board could be coded to automatically replace linked Tweets with embedded ones.
This mindset requires the assumption that the likelihood of getting the virus is greater for a football team member. Is that a generally accepted fact?FWIW Booger McFarland was asked by Finebaum the other day about playing college ball this year. McFarland said that if he had a son playing college ball he would not let him play this year. Part of his reasoning, IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY, was that too much is unknown at this time about the long term effects of the virus and he just didn't think it was worth it. He made a very compelling argument.
I'm the one that started the thread. HE and YOU are the ones not on topic and trying to get people banned for not embedding tweets.
Just grow up.....

Ive tried multiple times but it just doesn’t work for me. I don’t know why.I embed and view tweets all the time on mobile view. Just copy/paste the tweet number between Tweet tags.

I’ve tried it every way, like FQ said below. Used just the numbers from the app and from a browser. It never works. When I do it it posts as blank.Probably because you're copying the entire tweet link instead of just the numbers at the end
