the LSU game showed a lot. OU and LSU have comparable talent levels. That leaves Coaching next. We seen who has the better coaching. LSU.

Who brought those transfer qb's in? He took the program up a level from where they were under Stoops.

Again a decent Head Coach could do what Riley has done at OU with that talent, in that conference, at this point in time where Texas is down. I will say a bad Head Coach couldn’t do it but any decent Head Coach out there could in the Big 12 with OU right now.

I think we should get a program near the top 50 before we start ripping on programs that beat our *** consistently or that have accomplished feats we haven’t sniffed in nearly two decades. We’re a program with a solid group of 3 star players that have gotten beat by teams with better talent, worse talent, veteran coaches, first year coaches, and so on.

Continuing to rip programs that are walking the the walk instead of talking the talk just perpetuates the reputation that we have out of touch fans that live in ancient history.

i actually wasn’t ripping on anyone. L. Riley has done a good job with OU so far. And this was NEVER a Husker Vs OU pissing match. I never said Scott Frost is better then Lincoln Riley and the Huskers are better then OU. Just made the point LSU had the better coaching staff (because it’s true) and a decent Head Coach could do what Lincoln Riley has done with OU in a weak Big 12 (because that’s true). And I CAN do that regardless of my Huskers struggling or not. That has no baring on any of that, none at all.

I don’t know if I’d even give him that. I’m pretty sure Stoops could done everything Riley’s done. Again, when you take over a team full off Top 100 talent and 5 stars players, they will make you look better then you are. If Lincoln Riley was that good of a coach the OU vs LSU game would have been a little closer. Any decent to good head coach could do what Riley has done with that talent in the Big 12. I’m not sold on Lincoln Riley as an Elite Head Coach. Decent to good, yes. But that’s it. If you hand anyone the keys to Ferrari or Lamborghini they will look and drive fast too. But it doesn’t mean they can handle it right. It’s the same thing as taking over a team with OUs talent.
