How many times have we got the early KO down there? Maybe some hope after all if we can get some people healthy.

I believe we got the JP sports game against them three trips in a row in the 2000’s. But haven’t played them in the early game down there in 20 years.

2006 is the actual last time but the one that sticks out is 2004. Saban could have won that game 150-0 if he wanted to.

Wasn’t Leach’s first game (Covid) an early game in red stick?

We went down to that game in '06. That was up there with the white-out vs. Manziel.

It was over after about 10 minutes.

I think they were up 35-0 after their first 5 posessions.

By the time we got to our seats, we pretty much turned around and left.

Alabama has wiped the floor with us for two decades and for whatever reason I still feel like what LSU did to us in the 2000’s was just as bad if not worse.

1996 was the 11:30 JP game. It poured all night and morning. Tigerland was flooded and we were pushing cars out of the parking lot that night including pizza that we had delivered. Jeremy Jones missed a wide open catch. That and the Eddie Kennison punt return were my first two trips to Red Stick and I always felt we would never win there again. Luckily we had Dak in 14 and Leach vs Pelini in 20.

I was at both of those. First trip there was the Kennison return game too.

Times I recall us beating LSU in my life-time seemed to always be when we were slinging the ball around and LSU was too stubborn to adjust. I can even recall Nick Fitzgerald throwing TD passes on them in the 2017 blow-out.

I’ll be hanging at the capital one tailgate in the journalism building overlooking the Hill and the rest of the poors. Maybe you’ll see me sipping and early morning bloody on the veranda
