Seems almost inconceivable he lasts but I also thought UNCheat would suffer. Wrong!
I think Wade was the reason the AD was let go. He wanted Wade out and boosters and alumni stepped in. The new AD may still cut him loose but seems to me that their plan is much like UNC. Admit nothing and hope it goes away.
Will Wade will be out because the new AD will want to put his own coach in there it happens all the time regardless of the trouble Wade is in.
Well, Wade can always apply at St. John's since nobody seems to want that gig.
Wade is out and would be out no matter who the AD is. Bringing him back was simply a concession to "for cause" language in his contract. They will let this play out, rely on the FBI's evidence to hang him, and then fire him - and save hundreds of thou$ands, my guess. Presumably, either the AD didn't agree with that take, or did agree with it but figured it was so emasculating to him and his reputation that he couldn't survive it, so he left.
Agree with Mojocat here. Simply a ploy to save money on his contract when they fire him for cause after ncaa investigation plays out and they can still get those LOI’s signed by recruits Wade has gotten to verbal. Gotta have those guys cause with everybody that’s leaving they wouldn’t even have enough left to put a competitive team on the floor.
Has to be weird for Buzz. Was just hired by this guy two weeks ago and probably was getting used to him and his expectations. Now he has a brand new boss to deal with here soon. Can he get out of his contract and follow him to LSU like the players do when their coaches leave? [laughing]
I thought I read he was just taking a different position...like it had been in the works for a while...I could be wrong.
