Forecast in the low 80s for Saturday...

This USM win feels exactly like the South Alabama did last year... We know what happened in the weeks following.

This line looks like Vegas inducing people to bet on LSU and I bet the public bites on it.

I think the vast majority are, but I believe they sometimes take into account who they think the public will bet on versus who they think will win.

Not sure I know what they base a line on (obviously want 50% of the action on each side) when one team (LSU) has probably 3 times as many betters emotionally inclined to bet on them regardless of the spread than the other team (MSU) in a given game. Maybe that doesn`t matter at all but it seems like it could be a factor.

The line is set to have the maximum number of people betting on the game. The goal of the line is to have 50-50 money on each team. The oddsmakers know the demographics of who bets when on which team.

I wonder when was the last time the LSU-MSU line was this low?

Do you remember what it was last year? I was thinking around 7-10 points, and I was advocating for a big MSU play on that one.

I felt then, and still do now, feel like you match up well with that team. The betting public often doesn't look at match ups that way, and sometimes you can get value when finding a team that is able to take advantage of another's weak spots versus a team that's not adept at taking advantage of a team's weak spots.

Sucker bet

Which way? I honestly have no clue. I think LSU has some huge question marks and was expecting to win provided Warren looked competent against USM, but I was not expecting us to play USM and basically not see Cory Thomas, Jamal Peters, and one of Williams or Lee. Is a rotation of James, Jones, Adams, and Tory Dale at DT good enough to standup to LF the whole game?
