My father (retired LPD) knew him well and is not taking this well, at all. Was a partner of Mario’s for a while. RIP Mario.:(

Prayers sent for his family. So many people forget how dangerous of a job this is. They people who serve to keep law and order have the most unappreciated job in the world.

Thank you to your father, and to Mario, and to all the men and women who protect us, and to their families for their support and sacrifice.

Man, if things and attitudes don't change fast, I don't see how law enforcement will be able to meet recruiting goals. One of the worst atmospheres I can remember for being a "cop". Thanks to all who serve and protect

Can we not let this dissolve into muck . . . let's just honor this man and good people without bringing in any riff raff.

Unreal. Driving out of Omaha on I80 to Lincoln, every overpass that traffic drives underneath is lined with people and first responder vehicles and flags. Absolutely tremendous. Never been more proud of this State
