Despite the shaky start for the LA D, halftime score is exactly what I would have predicted.

After the first two drives, LA has taken away the SI dive. A couple miscues on the exchange by SI hasn’t helped. Very impressed by LA so far.

Ramblers have the backups on. That Maloney injury didn’t look good. That would be a huge loss.

Nice win for LA. 3rd quarter got a bit sloppy for the offense but they never relinquished complete control of the game.

It was so great running into Edgy at the Loyola game against Ignatius last weekend. Okay, fine, I didn't run into him. I walked around the entire stadium until I found him. :)

The man, the myth, the legend!

Slow second halves seem to happen a lot for LA when they are up big at halftime, and that's not a criticism.

Giving backups lots of playing time is no small ingredient in Loyola's secret sauce.

Fully agree on the slow second halves and understand that's how LA has always done it when up big. Maybe we need to add some flea flickers like MC to our 2nd half package. My concern (and I'm really nit picking at this point as the offense is almost in full wagon mode) is that it's definitely the starters that fall into lapses for a couple drives here and there.

I have long thought that Holecek manages their frequent blowout games in such a way that the final score isn't ugly. In the Holecek and Desherow era, how often have we seen Loyola jump out to a substantial early lead only to see that lead not grow by much or even shrink a little in the second half?
