lets see,missed SQUAN barkley ,harmon last year under Flood ,both having great seasons..now TWO in State running backs decommit under Ash..
Staff needed to win some games after OSU,MSU blowouts and havent..so this will probably continue.Got to get a real O Cord to start,a name kids want to play for..

I'm getting really tired of our so-called fans on this board doing everything humanly possible to convince our commits to go elsewhere. Talk about self-fulfilling prophecies.
Some of you need to learn how to STFU and keep your self-righteous negativity to yourselves.
Recruits: Listen to what the coaching staff is telling you. Ignore the know-nothing jerks on this forum who bash the coaching staff. They do not represent RU in any way and only want to see the program burn.

Hold on one minute right there. Over the last three years, it was established as FACT by some posters that the negativity posted here on this forum has ZERO effect on recruits, and anyone should be free to say whatever they want about the program.
Next men up! This is still a very good class. The 2 guys we expected would go, have gone, now let's fill those slots!

While I don't like some of the comments about the coaches, I also don't think it's fair to say that people here "only want to see the program burn." Would they really spend time on a rutgers football board if they wanted that?

As for the RB's- outside of Martin being injured, he has looked very good and Goodwin is light years better than last year...

Never thought you would be lecturing people. For the record, I have said nothing negative about the program or the coaches, and I generally agree with you. But it is funny how some folks are singing a completely different tune this year. Guess it was OK to burn down the house while Flood was in it, but not now for some of these folks.

Anybody who purports to be fan of the program and then, on a public internet forum, in a thread about recruiting, bashes the coaching staff... that person is either monumentally clueless or is a troll that wants to see the program burn.
I would either delete all the coach-bashing troll posts in this thread, ban the in-house trolls, or consider shutting down the free board until after signing day.

I've been going to RU games for @ 50 years. No one wants to see the program to be more successful than me. I was "alluding to" the fact that when Flood's teams went into the toilet how that recruiting class fell apart. I don't want the same thing to happen here but the way the season is playing out it's a possibility. Thank God we have a kid in this class like Micah Clark who is sticking with us no matter what.
Know who you're talking to before you start throwing around insults.
The position coach probably has very little to do with these de-commits - he probably wasn't their lead recruiter and I know as a parent I would strongly advise my kid not to make a decision based on a position coach with a low pay, 1-2 year contract.
yeah I know. I'm broken is a good way to put it. frustrated off the deep end and almost done for now. You're right though..I'd love to get back to the 7-8 win regular season achievements we enjoyed in a 7 game Big East schedule. But it isn't gonna happen anytime soon in this league and with the schedules we're gonna see.
never EVER thought we'd get back to Terry Shea level football and have to go thru that again. Not sure I can.

Just as a reminder: ecruiting went into the dumpster in 2013 for a few reasons, starting in October, that included but WERE NOT limited to on-field play. There was off-the-field stuff going on that began to be "rumored-about" as far back as summer camp, which help lead to the landslide of decommits that hit in Oct/Nov, and had nothing to do with on-field play.
