The real question is who is going to get hurt in today's practice for UL so pitino can say he's out indefinitely only to play Wed?

Couple of thoughts on some responses on the subject of Lil Bro:
To some extent, I understand the thought of being over 55 living in Jefferson County and thinking beating UNC, IU, Duke is more important, but for me, having a business that finds me on campus almost daily, shutting these fools up means everything to me.

Spoke with one of my guys today who is a big UL fan; all I heard was how our bigs were going to be taken to the woodshed. He thinks our guards are better than theirs, but they will beat us around the basket.
I tried to ask questions about how could we be so weak inside but hold our own against UNC and all I got was we cheated and was lucky.
This is typical UL fans, all mouth and no substance. I have to listen to this **** everyday.
I think Briscoe will be the one they cannot deal with. He will do exactly what he did against UNC; drive, dish, rebound, defend, talk, direct and be the second muscle man besides Bam.

Fox and Monk will be themselves. Snyder will have his hands full no matter what these dumbass Card fans think. Besides being fast, his leaping is off the charts.

The one thing I want to see in this game, is that 7 ft. Egyptian Kermit looking fool run back quick in time to defend. My thinking is he will do what Derrick Character did once, just stay back and wait till they come back down to the other end.

Don't get fooled, UL is a good team. They can beat us. We must respect them and play like we did against UNC. Look at Butler; IU beats KU and UNC but loses to them.
We rebound, shoot decent, defend the 3 point line and play our game, we win 8-10 points.

Ask your friend where UL will suddenly find these quality bigs? They struggled against Motley and Maston from Butler.

BTW....Louisville is very good on defense after made baskets when they have an opportunity to set their defense. But they absolutely suck on transition defense. Briscoe and Fox are going to hurt them bad.

I don't pretend to know what the final score will be. Living in Louisville most of my life tells me this. UK wins the game, UL fans cry about so many fans in the YUM and then the next day they start their rant about not needing to play us in major sports.

This. I've always said Kentucky should drop them. It's a series that only hurts Kentucky when they lose in any sport.

Louisville Football thought the same thing about UK football. We don't have anything to be afraid of except being too cocky like most on this thread are.

Yeah, I don't see the parallels with football just cause we've been gaining ground on them in the games and should have won the last two honestly. We also have been getting better recruiting classes with them.

That's not the case for them in basketball.

They'll play the 2 - 3 zone so driving opportunities down the lane may be less than normal. Spalding is their only front line big who can score. Get two fouls on him early on and his third fairly quickly after the half and you take away several potential points. Refs will make a difference. A perfect storm would be Ayers and Shows.

They'll also throw in the "they may have beaten us now, but they won't want to play us in March" argument.

If we win, U of L fans will say "at least we do things the right way" and be totally serious when they say it.

If we lose, U of L fans will say that Pitino has figured Calipari out and get ready for a seven-game winning streak by U of L in the series.

We can be cocky.................it is the team that will need to be focused. I doubt that our basketball team is a cocky as their FB team was. They haven't been so far. Besides that I am not really cocky......well.......yes I am! UK will win by 15+!

Game will go to wire...UL needs this so bad. Upside of point guard they have the athletes to play with us. If they avoid droughts they can hang especially at home.

I'm sure I will be Bam and Gabriel who will get into early foul trouble. As game is in the yum.

It will be a wrestling match. This is the only way U of L can win. Pitino will hope Cats get in foul trouble or the refs call nothing. I could see a little triangle and two with Briscoe having a big game catching it in the middle of the zone.
Similar to the wall, cuz team

If da Ville can keep this game in the 60s they got a shot, in the 70s, close loss, get up to 80s and that means it's a blowout. I actually believe this game is closer to a blowout than a nail biter. Our speed is really gonna hurt them. If they try to double team Monk gonna be alot of open shots. Could be a breakout game for Willis. Expect the Cats to lead most of the game, Cards get it close in 2nd half, then Cats heat back up and pull away.

Louisville is a really good defensive team. They are known to go on four or five min with out scoring sometimes and that has been against weaker comp then they will see tomorrow. They go five min without scoring on this UK team it will cost them the game.

If they play a matchup zone, you get Fox in middle and briscoe running baseline. Those two will be big in this game in my opinion.

If I were Pitino, I would play aggresive zone but practicing this week on closing out on designated shooters (have a practice player represent Monk and Willis in practice - any shot they get off counts as good).

Louisville is not a great outside shooting team anyway, so the focus on offense would be drives or drive/dish attacking Bam. The strategy being get Bam out of the game in foul trouble then attack inside.

I am not saying this strategy will get them a win, but I think it is their best shot. We should be a pretty bad match up for Louisville, I just don't see their press being effective against us.

I really don't believe UofSmell can score enough to keep it close unless the game is allowed to be an ole time big east game. There is no one on that roster that makes you go wow that guy is a really stud and causes us a match up problem

I know y'all hate UL but do you really consider them as a rival.IMO a rival is someone who you think has a realistic chance of beating you.My outside view is that most years that is not the case.

The U of L fan base gets giddy every time we lose. So yes, I consider them a rival.

Well you will find very few schools fans who loathe another schools fans like UK and ULol. As far as it being competitive right now it isn't but may be again in years to come.
