UL without FOUR players are up on 12th ranked Virginia. On the road. Something is wrong with this picture.

I hate to say this but UL is playing good on both sides of the ball tonight and over the past few games.

Virginia is terrible, and Louisville isn't that great either. We almost beat U of L at their place with them at full strength. We can and will compete with anybody on a neutral court in March once we fix the turnovers.

It's amazing how much better UL has gotten this year. Even short handed, they play and defend hard.

A real shot at winning it all, imo

It's Pitino's calling card. They really play better when the chips are stacked against them. He has and always can coach guys up. When they get back to full strength, they'll probably take a step back.

Look at Virginia's schedule so far. Their 2 best wins are at Louisville and at Notre Dame. That's pathetic.

Virginia still hasn't played the hard part of their schedule and will be lucky to finish in the top 20.

It's just nonsense saying Virginia is no good. That whole conference is good.

Look at their schedule and who they've racked up wins against. Your post is nonsense, not mine. They lost to every above average team they've played, other than at Louisville. They played NOBODY out of conference. NOBDODY! Do your homework before calling my post nonsense.

Just a terrible take.

Look at their schedule hot shot. They will not finish in the top 20. Is that a good team to you? One that doesn't finish the year in the top 20? I'll recall this post when they don't, and I promise you they wont.

That conference is really good. Not sure why there is debate about it. That said. Virginia is just one of those teams that will let teams hang around. I'd expect them to pull away from UL in the second half. But as much as I hate him, Pitino may be doing his best coaching job this year. He's getting some great shooting from guys I don't think are great shooters though like Mitchell and Adel so we will see if it continues into the tournament. And I am really looking forward to the NCAA blasting them, cause I think it is coming.

So UK get credit for an almost win at UL, but Virginia doesn't get credit for an almost win at Villanova?

No, the ACC conference is very good. But, what is interesting is how UL has improved while we have regressed. We should revisit what or how we played against UL on their home court. We lost similar to several other games when we missed free throws. But, offensively this game was Bam, Fox, and Monk taking most of the shots. Monk was off for the most part but Fox was the main guy driving. Again, that is my take that we need to revert to Fox being the main guy on offense, and kick outs for Monk, and when teams start defending Fox's drives and Monks outside shots is when it opens up for BAM. But trying to work the ball to get it to Bam is leading to turn-overs along with the knowledge to lay off Briscoe and block his shots in the paint. Briscoe should be backing up Fox, not playing a 3 guard line up. There you go.

This thread is about whether Virginia is good or not. I'm going to enjoy pulling this thread back up after they drop out of the top 20.

Your opinion doesn't mean anything to me, but feel free to look me up when Virginia finishes the season outside the top 20 and U of L flames out early in the tournament.

The ACC gets the Dolly Parton Award. Stacked.

Now the negative. Don't you guys think the ACC is just over loaded? You guys may be tired in tourney.
Since you brought her up...

Just because a team finishes outside the top 20, if they do, it does not make them terrible. And very very good teams flame out early in the tournament almost every year. Your statement is still dumb.

The ACC will get 10-11 teams in the big dance.

The league is stacked

UNC = pretty good (we beat them)
FSU = pretty good but they probably fall apart
UL = pretty good
UVA = pretty good
ND = pretty good
Duke = huge disappointment but dangerous
Syracuse = lol. they suck but won a few games lately. Sitting on 9 losses already though.

Past that, no, this conference is not stacked. Teams like VT, Miami, WF and GA Tech will not all get in, unless they all finish with a winning conference record. I doubt they get in 10-11 teams. That idiot bracket guy that said 11 teams get in a few weeks ago included PITT who was 1-6 in conference at the time, now 1-9. I'd say 8 teams get in which is still impressive, but 11 is absurd.
