Atleast Cal tried to stay with the hot hand in Toppin. Normally Cal is criticized for substituting out our hot players. Unfortunately, toppin put on his invisibility cloak in the second half. Brookes stunk, Allen stunk, ware bless his heart did the best he could. Even before the cramps tyty was just playing okay, not great. It is not cals fault we missed 10 free throws. I'm critical of some of cals baloney but I don't blame him for last night's loss

Cal putting Mintz and Allen on the court at the same time however was the typical head scratching jackass substitution I'm used to though.

What was the situation when Cal did that. Maybe there was a logical reason to have them both out there at the same time. But you'll have a hard time convincing me when Grady was hot to start the second. Maybe this was first half hell Id have to go back and watch now to get the facts straight. I just remember thinking "what the hell is he doing"

It might have been. I work 2nd shift so I listen to the .I'd week games on the radio. That's why I said I'm not 100% sure of the situation then...maybe there was an actual reason. I just know it stuck out in my mind....if Mintz is out there running point then Grady had better be out there if Wheeler and TyTy are both MIA. So I think you're right, they were both out. Was Grady in foul trouble at that juncture?

The problem is that Brooks is just a better shooter, Toppin looked great then got wide open on a jumper in the second half and missed the rim. They are better as a 1-2 punch then playing 1 all the time.
