That was his first miss of the year. Way to bash Caleb. Knew it as soon as announcers said he hadn’t missed. Kiss of death.
It’s the safe / smart play but Mag fouled too early, we missed a key FT, and then left a guy wide open for 3. Plus a favorable home clock operator…Hard to blame the coach.
I don’t care if we foul but wait until under 5 seconds. Way too soon at 7 seconds
The point is to run time off the clock because they can only get back two. It was not a bad call. We lost because they hit a ridiculous shot.
I think it was Mag that left his man. There was no reason to.
Play it straight up and if you foul, you foul, but not intentionally

Pressure was on OSU. Fouling out the pressure back on us when we didn’t need to. Play D and worst case is OT.

Fouling makes no sense. If OSU makes 2 fouls shots, they will foul you and you need to make 2 fouls shots to be up 3 points (the same place you were with 7 seconds).

Yup it’s a coin toss, fouling vs not stats show the win vs loss is pretty much the same.

Why does Pike not put Wolf on inbounder, and why does he always give the opponent a free pass in without contesting it. Cause havoc under their basket and that would have eaten up a second or two and we would have won.
a chance to steal a win against a team quite frankly RU is better than. OSU is a 10-10/11-9 type big 10 team..they are vulnerable early because of their freshmen

I'm not a fan of the foul with so much time left. Assuming they got both, now the pressure is on you and there is enough time for them to run another set. What a gut punch.

Without Pike you think we’re even up 3 with 6 seconds left? We’d lose the game down 20. He didn’t lose the game, none of our guys lost the game, Ohio State won it on a miracle by stepping out of bounds, traveling, being out of bounds again and then making a miracle shot
Great effort by Rutgers and a terrible way to lose by a questionable 3 pointer when the shooter was out of bounds before he took the shot.Poor clock management by Rutgers on when to foul gave Ohio State another possession which ler to the winning 3 pointer..Coming close doesn't matter in basketball.Winning matters as Harper showed twice last season with 3 pointers .Its hard to take all these road losses.
