1. It’s not happening.
2. Should we want it to happen?
I personally need a break from this team. I need the next 9 months for my health.
I hope you can write the same post at the end of the day Sept. 5, 2020.Purdue is losing

Teams that must win their final game for bowl eligibility[edit]
Army must win its final two games to make a bowl.
- ACC (2): Boston College, North Carolina
- Big Ten (1): Michigan State
- Pac-12 (2): Colorado, Oregon State
- Sun Belt (1): Louisiana–Monroe
- Independent (1): Liberty
Liberty plays against New Mexico State, so count them in, too. And UNC is a big favorite over NCSU, so don't hold your breath.Michigan st is in they play Maryland
Otherwise its hopeless

Going to a bowl isn’t going to fix our inabilities this year anyway...
SF still would start 2AM and and we would still not be able to kick the ball in the end zone on kickoffs..

Where you been, man? Haven't seen you post in a while.
Still would be beneficial to get those extra practices and would be nice to see the players get a trip and some bowl swag.
Have had 2 months with caring, and dealing with my elderly parents affairs, moving them twice ( long story) and haven’t had time or been too tired to even comment of this disasters year 2 of the SF era..
It came down to beating Iowa and they didn’t get the job done...
I was going to post asking whether the bowl game would count against the 4 games permitted for redshirting. My guess is yes.Agreed. I actually worry he would do something stupid, like burn McCaffrey's redshirt by putting him in for a random play. Personnel awareness has not been especially strong for this staff.
I recall one season, Kansas State also scheduled two FCS teams and didn't become bowl eligible as a result of only being able to count one.If Michigan State and Liberty win, we are out.
Three spots left as of today.
Game plan:
Root against the teams that are favored today (Michigan State, Liberty and North Carolina). If they all win, it is over.
Need two upsets among that group today.
Underdog Boston College gets ahead of us win or lose since they will be 6-6 or 5-7 but have the APR edge.
We are next at 5-7 but underdogs today can get 6 wins or move ahead of us at 5-7.
So root against underdogs Oregon State, Louisiana-Monroe and Colorado that could get six wins and underdogs Duke and Middle Tennessee who beat us at 5-7.
Army is the X-factor. If they beat Hawaii today, they play Navy next week for a chance at 7-6. They have 13 games because of the Hawaii Exemption. But have two FCS wins and only one counts so they need 7 total wins to be bowl eligible at 6-6. I think they are treated as 5-7 instead of 6-7 even if they split and their APR is below Nebraska. Would need interpretation of eligibility rules.

EDIT: That season was 2009, and our Huskers closed the door on them in their finale. As I recall, Alex Henery had a monster day punting.
That's right, I remember reading about each schools' difficulty scheduling as independents, so they decided to play a home-and-home series in the same season. Crazy.Liberty is in the same boat. They have 6 wins currently, but 2 are against FCS teams. Interestingly, they are playing NMSU for the second time this year.
Beaming with pride scanning over the group of programs we are on par with in year 2 of the Scott Frost training experiment...As Boston College is ahead of Nebraska in the academic rating. Nebraska needs the following teams to lose.
Colorado
Michigan St
North Carolina
Oregon St
Louisiana Monroe
Duke
Stanford
Middle Tennessee St.
Not going to happen but that's what it's gonna take.
If Nebraska holds on to a 17 point 2nd half lead at Colorado, they go to a bowl. If they score a TD after getting the ball first and goal at the Purdue 2 after an INT, they go to a bowl.
I remember the day when Iowa played the woulda, coulda, shoulda game. They moved up and it appears we stepped in to take their place.same goes for the Indiana game. We had a chance to win that game as well. In All 4 of those games, if a play or two goes differently, we win those 4 games. It sucks to see us that close in 4 different games and still find away to lose each one of them..
